SOURDOUGH 101 is back at Barrel and Bloom 🥖 Join us September 13th for a cozy afternoon of learning.

I have had the absolute pleasure of teaching hundreds of locals now about sourdough. My goal is always to break it down so everyone understands that it does NOT have to be complicated, it just has to taste good 🤎 This course is beginner-friendly & geared for ages 12+.

Our next pop up U-PICK is this Sunday, August 9th from 12-6PM. Looks like the rain might be on & off so no reservations required, come when you can. The field may be muddy so bring your boots along.

We are so excited to welcome back Brandi Sparks to the homestead this summer for another morning filled with music, movement, flowers, and farm fun! 🤍

Join us for Bloom & Boogie, a family-friendly kids event in Delaware County, Ohio designed for little ones (ages 0-5) to sing, dance and explore the farm and gardens.

Choose from TWO dates:

Now, as much as I’d love to have everyone out at their leisure, I want more for this to be a non-crowed, peaceful experience. Therefore, we are doing arrival time reservations… but it’s easy ⬇️

There are two studies that are quite well known in the flower farming world. One is out of Harvard Medical School (Dr. Nancy Etcoff) and the other from Rutgers University (Dr. Jeannette Haviland-Jones). If you haven’t heard of them, they’re worth looking into… because together, they explain why flowers are never "just flowers."

Dr. Etcoff’s research focuses on how flowers make you feel... less anxious, more compassionate, more energized. Dr. Haviland-Jones looks at what happens when you give flowers... how it creates deeper connection and even signals emotional awareness and thoughtfulness.

Never just flowers.

Whether you pick up a bouquet for yourself at the farmers market, gift someone you love a bouquet subscription, grow your own from seed, or visit a flower farm… you’re actually doing something that improves your emotional intelligence and connection to others.

5 years ago, I went down that rabbit hole and now I own and operate my own flower farm. I’m not saying you need to go THAT far… but I do think everyone should experience it in some way.
