Summer blooms are finally creeping in 🌱

These are all from out in our u-pick field. I had to go out & snip the first few blooms in order to get taller stems so these are what came out of that project. Heavy on the pinks right now. 🩷 I love love love summer blooms and that’s why I focus on having flowers July through our first frost. Spring flowers aren’t really my thing (I blame the tulips).

As for events & u-pick this summer… that news is coming, I promise. I’ve been in limbo waiting for a few things to work themselves out (more to come on that). There will be ticketed events here this summer… they will just be more last minute. If you’re flexible though, that’s good news for you because that means I get to focus on the few dates that we will have instead of spreading out my energy all season. Gotta roll with the punches this summer. 🌸🌻🌼

There are two studies that are quite well known in the flower farming world. One is out of Harvard Medical School (Dr. Nancy Etcoff) and the other from Rutgers University (Dr. Jeannette Haviland-Jones). If you haven’t heard of them, they’re worth looking into… because together, they explain why flowers are never "just flowers."

Dr. Etcoff’s research focuses on how flowers make you feel... less anxious, more compassionate, more energized. Dr. Haviland-Jones looks at what happens when you give flowers... how it creates deeper connection and even signals emotional awareness and thoughtfulness.

Never just flowers.

Whether you pick up a bouquet for yourself at the farmers market, gift someone you love a bouquet subscription, grow your own from seed, or visit a flower farm… you’re actually doing something that improves your emotional intelligence and connection to others.

5 years ago, I went down that rabbit hole and now I own and operate my own flower farm. I’m not saying you need to go THAT far… but I do think everyone should experience it in some way.

Our Summer Bloom Club is officially open 🌼🪻🌸

I’ve been dreaming about offering a flower subscription for the past two years & now I’ve finally gotten the chance to curate one. If you’re local to Delaware County, Ohio, this is your chance to enjoy fresh, locally grown flowers all season long.

Choose what fits your summer:
• Weekly (4-week sessions in July, August, or September)
• Monthly (one XL bouquet each month)

Every bouquet is cut fresh from our field here in Ostrander and designed with what’s blooming that week so no 2 weeks will be the same.

Bloom Club members also get a few extra perks:
– Larger, premium bouquets
– 20% off a photography session here on the farm
– A welcome kit (I’ll keep this one a surprise for now)

Spots are limited and some email subscribers already snagged a spot so once we’re full, we’re full for the season.

👀 Something new is here 🪻🌸🌼 Introducing our new flower cart to the operation! A few weeks ago, I came across a video on social media of a collapsible coffee cart. The next day I went out to the barn, grabbed some scrap material and got to work. 💪

This will come along with me for pop events with DIY bouquet bars, pre-arranged floral arrangements & even available for rentals (our flowers INCLUDED of course).

More photos & details to come. I hope you’re just as excited to see it as I was to build it 💛
