Mead Fest is just around the corner!
On September 26th, we welcome SO many friends to The Plant to celebrate Mead Fest. This mini-Renaissance festival runs 12:00-5:00pm. With over 30 vendors represented this year, we thought we would introduce you to some of the folks you can expect to see there.
We'll kick things off with your drink options for the day. In addition to our offerings (see our website to book your Starrlight tastings in advance!), Honeygirl Meadery will be celebrating, too! Like us, they provide tastings in the Mead Hall and serve by the glass closer to the knights.
The Plant will be open as usual so feel free to grab a cocktail at Fair Game Beverage Company or coffee from Metal Brixx Cafe. Make sure to check in with the great folks at bmc brewing for a tasty b**r or Koshu Sake Bar to try some tasty Sake!
In addition to the drinks, you'll also find plenty of Ren-faire activities to participate in.
The Knightly Order of the Fiat Lux (Triangle Chapter) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in education and will be giving demonstrations all day. To raise money, they dress in real armor and hit each other with real swords for entertainment and donations. Thunder and Spice will be performing throughout the day, and Chatham Axes will be happy to teach you how to throw an axe!
