Something new is growing at Gateway Farm 🌻
This summer, we’re rolling out a free weekly Story Time on the Farm series for little ones and their grown-ups. Families are invited to walk the farm, hear stories, explore what’s in season, and spend time connecting with nature, food, and community.

Come meet the farmers, learn how food grows, taste what’s coming out of the fields, and experience the season together. Perfect for families looking for something different to do with your littles this summer.
We’ll gather at the Little Yellow Farm Stand off Joy Rd and get started around 10:45am each week.

The program is free. Register once for the season so we can keep you updated with story time reminders and information.

We’re excited to launch a new free program at Gateway Farm this summer 🌻

Story Time on the Farm is a weekly gathering for little ones and their grown-ups to hear stories, walk the farm, explore what’s in season, and spend time outside together.

Come meet the farmers, learn how food grows, and experience the season with us. We’ll gather at the Little Yellow Farm Stand and get started around 10:45am each week.

Free to attend. Register once for the season so we can keep families updated with reminders and story time information.

Our 2026 Story Time on the Farm series will run June 1st through Sept 28th. We will gather every Monday at 10:30am for a short activity on the farm and a story that will start around 10:45am. Worm p**p. Seriously.

Our farm-made vermicompost is one of the simplest ways to support healthier soil and stronger plants naturally. Think of it like a probiotic for your garden. Instead of feeding the plant directly, vermicompost helps support the beneficial microbes that make nutrients more available to your plants over time. It’s gentle on roots, easy to use, and made right here at Gateway Farm by approximately 300,000 red wiggler worms fed entirely organic produce scraps from the farm.

How to use it:
-Add a small scoop beneath transplants when planting
-Sprinkle around established plants
-Brew into compost tea for a soil boost

A little goes a long way.

🧄🌱Green garlic is young garlic, harvested before the bulb fully forms. You can use the whole plant, white base and green tops, just like a milder, fresher garlic meets scallion.

Sauté it, blend it into dressings, toss it into eggs or soups… it’s one of those early spring ingredients that makes everything taste better. Find it in the farm stand while it’s here.🤗
