I’ve been putting off making this post because, honestly, I’m a little embarrassed and annoyed at myself over the whole situation. But I figured I’d better lift the veil a bit, because if you see me, it’ll probably be pretty obvious anyway.

I fell. And not just a little trip-over-your-own-feet kind of fall. Earlier this week, I fell off the barn beams and landed on the concrete floor. I’m incredibly thankful to be alive, and I have no doubt that God spared me.

Believe it or not I didn't break anything and I’m only dealing with some muscle pain right now, and while I’m slowly gaining a little more mobility each day, it’s definitely been a slow process. Thankfully, my mom has been picking up my slack inside, while Greg (who also managed to step on a screw and is limping around himself!) and the rest of our family have been absolutely killing it outside.

I’m frustrated by how much I’ve had to slow down, but I’m also incredibly grateful for the people who have stepped up and for the reminder that we're not doing this alone.

Now I’m just hoping we can have zero more excitement between now and September 19th. I think we’ve had quite enough adventure for one season! 😂

For now, I’m resting, healing, and very thankful to still be here.

It’s been a slow process, but I’m so proud of the work we’ve done so far. ❤️

We’ve been lifting each floorboard one by one, thoroughly cleaning underneath—scraping, brushing, and vacuuming—and then cleaning the boards themselves.

It’s been a lot of time and patience, but seeing the progress makes it all worth it.

Now comes the next step: putting the floorboards back, one by one.

Tinky was distracted by the prospect of a snack because she saw a human being within 10 feet of her, so Conrad seized the opportunity to sneak onto her favorite shade cover—the one she frequently uses as a hammock. 😆

When she noticed him, she went underneath and tried to flip him off with her nose! 😂 I was disappointed we didn't get it on video.

We’ll be adding “doesn’t share well with others” to her report card.

Some before, during, and after photos from the other side of the barn! 🤩

We had an army of family here today, working in shifts, and they absolutely crushed it! We transported and raked around **40 tons of gravel** and moved countless stones as we continued our mission to conquer the eternal stone pile. 💪🪨

The progress has been incredible, and we couldn't have done it without everyone who showed up ready to work. We are absolutely killing it! 🙌🚜

It's looking as if the weather isn't going to cooperate for the last Open Farm of the summer season 😭. So we are going to cancel Tuesday, July 28th.

Don't be too sad though because we will be opening up some Saturday dates in October for fall Open Farms!
