Oh, the aroma, so devine! We love elderflower season! The fragrant blooms have an enticing floral note of vanilla and spice, both in fragrance and flavor!

A couple days ago we harvested some blooms on the farm. We're gearing up to make many delicious recipes.

You will find our elderflower along with our berries in several of our farm teas, and other farm goods.

Interesting Facts: Medicinally, elderflowers have been used to aid in a variety of conditions and symptoms, although you should always consult with your doctor before trying any herbal medicine. Elderflower has been used to treat sinusitis, constipation, colds, flu, coughing, inflammation, laryngitis, and diabetes.

Our 2026 growing season is kicking off this week, and we're excited to share it with you! Join us for some late spring and early summer favorites — even though it feels like August out there! 🥵

Our on-farm market tables are now open every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-6 pm. Our drops in West Des Moines and Urbandale occur each Wednesday (these are pre-orders only).

Mark Your Calendars: Tuesday, June 9th is the official opening of our market tables at the farm! I can hardly believe we are almost back to this point again!

A Little Secret to Share
This marks our 19th year of gardening and nearly 10 years of sharing our harvest with local families. I can assure you, it looks nothing like it did in years past. Yet, at times, it feels as though we're still in in the beginning stages. I guess that's because no one ever "arrives" and we keep on learning. 😉

As we sit and enjoy this God-given freedom, remember that love for anything (even God and country) requires sacrifice, and many have laid down their lives for you and your family to enjoy moments like sitting around a bonfire, sipping ice-cold tea, watching the kids play, and listening to the birds sing. Freedom is a price paid with sacrifice.

It was a bustling weekend, yet we managed to carve out some time to relax. We must put in extra effort to achieve this, as our farming lifestyle choice seldom allows us to set our work aside. It’s more challenging than it may appear. I’m truly grateful for a beautiful farm where we can unwind, because if you’re going to be glued to something, it certainly helps. 🙃

All but two were able to gather for part of the day. The day concluded with fishing in the pond, enjoying s'mores around the fire, sharing laughter, and engaging in silly games.

No matter where you find yourself in this season of life as a woman – whether you’re navigating the little years, experiencing teenage moments, grieving, or filled with hope – remember your worth as a woman. Regardless of your current stage, YOU can leave a legacy that can reshape the future for so many through the choices you make today. 🌹🙃🌹
