Bon Appétit Magazine put 10 supermarket coffee ice creams to the test, and our Organic Coffee Ice Cream was named the decaf pick.

Made with organic ingredients, decaffeinated coffee, and Dutch-process cocoa, it’s the scoop for when you want coffee ice cream without the full espresso jolt.

Their take? Mild, pleasing, and “coffee enough, but not crazy coffee.”

Claudia Harrington is making her case for future “best baker mom” with a birthday cake cookie skillet topped with our Organic Super Premium Ice Cream.

She picked up our ice creams during a Whole Foods run and turned it into the sweetest family dessert. Our ice cream is rich, creamy, and made with simple organic ingredients, with more cream and butterfat and less air for that indulgent super premium texture.

Dairy farming has always been a family effort, and women have always been central to that work.

Jolynn McClelland comes from generations of dairy farmers on both sides of her family, with roots in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Today, she and her husband Robert carry that legacy forward at Robert McClelland Dairy, one of the certified organic family farms that supplies us with organic milk.

In the day-to-day rhythm of the farm, women’s work touches nearly every part of the operation, from animal care and organic certification records to finances, and the many decisions that happen before the day is done.

We are proud to honor Jolynn, her family, and the women whose leadership continues to shape organic dairy farming.

World Milk Day calls for the good milk.

The kind with cream at the top. The kind you scoop by the spoonful before anyone else gets to it. The kind that comes from organic family farms, where cows graze on certified organic pasture and are fed certified organic feed grown without GMOs or synthetic pesticides.

It is simple in the glass, but there is a lot behind it: farmers caring for cows, pastures, soil, and the daily work of producing organic milk with intention. Today, we’re celebrating all of that. Happy World Milk Day!

Ice cream was one of the reasons Albert Straus started this creamery. In 1994, he converted his family's farm to organic and launched the first 100% certified organic creamery in the U.S. The ice cream followed not long after, three flavors joining a lineup built on the same commitment to organic dairy that started it all. Now, we're taking it nationwide at Whole Foods Market for the first time. Worth the wait.

In 2025, more than 3.5 million of our glass bottles came back to our creamery. Every returned bottle gets cleaned, sterilized, and refilled at our creamery, starting the cycle over again. We've been bottling in returnable glass since 1994, and that program has always depended on the people who take the time to bring their bottles back. We're working toward a 90% return rate, and every return moves us a step closer.

Something we've learned from the past few months: a lot of you really love our Greek Yogurt. Demand outgrew what we were able to produce, and we've been working hard to close that gap. The good news is that it's back, and supply will keep growing over the coming weeks! Worth the wait, we hope.

We are voluntarily recalling a small number of production runs of select flavors and sizes of our Organic Ice Cream due to the potential presence of metal foreign material.

Only the production lots (noted by the “best-by” date on package) between December 23, 2026 and December 30, 2026 are impacted for the following products: Strawberry Pints or Quarts, Cookie Dough Pints, Dutch Chocolate Quarts, Vanilla Bean Pints, or Mint Chip Pints. Please check the bottom of your container for the best-by date.

If the date falls between December 23, 2026, and December 30, 2026, please do not consume the product and dispose of it at home.

To receive a voucher for a free replacement product to redeem at your local retailer, please visit the link below to submit a photo of your best-by date. For questions, please contact us at [email protected] or 1-707-776-2887 (Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT).

The female farmers who supply our milk are mothers, daughters, and in many cases the proud continuation of a family farming legacy that spans generations in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Their love for the land and the life they've built on it is woven into every acre they tend and every season they see through.

In the United Nations' Year of the Female Farmer, we're celebrating the women who have been showing up for their farms, their families, and their communities for as long as we can remember. Happy Mother's Day to every woman tending the land today.

The farmers featured here are just a few of the women in our network, with many more stories still to tell.
