Welcome to Kindred Farm! Cultivating connection is the heart of everything we do. We’re Christine and Steven Bailey - a writer and a chef. On our 17 acres in Santa Fe, Tennessee, we're raising vibrant produce, flowers, bees, and chickens in a sustainable way that heals the land and grows into beautiful food. We also gather the community at long farm tables under the stars at our seasonal Kindred D

inners. We believe life is meant to be shared in community, and we create our unique, handmade artisan goods with that in mind so you can share them with your people. This is why setting the table for our farm dinner guests is one of the most important steps in the evening. One of the big passions behind what we do is ✨preparing a place✨ for people to slow down and connect face-to-face, in the midst of a world trying to steal away our attention at every turn.

Brilliant blues in the sky and soil yesterday. 💙 And a solar halo! Have you ever seen one?

A solar halo is a faint rainbow around the sun, caused by sunlight refracting through millions of hexagonal ice crystals in high-altitude cirrus clouds. These clouds bend light at exactly a 22-degree angle 🤯 frequently signaling approaching rain or snow. Appearing there’s a saying that, “A ring around the sun or moon means rain or snow is coming soon.” Accurate - because we’re getting rain today and tomorrow!

Fun fact: every person sees his or her own halo - just like a rainbow is completely unique to the viewer. 🌞🌈
