Yesterday we got the opportunity to be part of something pretty special. For those that know the history of the old stagecoach, you're aware it was once owned by Old Phoenix Bank, then FirstMerit Bank, and then Huntington Bank. It was then discontinued for their marketing. On this occasion, we were asked to be a part of a retirement party for a gentleman that had been an employee back during its time as Old Phoenix Bank. We provided rides to employees, family, and friends. Even with the surprise pop-up rain shower, everyone still had a great time. Happy Retirement to Kevin Rych!

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend at Hale Farm & Village for their Sow and Grow Festival. Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan, are always on their best behavior. Saturday was a bit warm, but there are a lot of great spots to rest in the shade. Sunday was a bit cooler, and we had to cut our day a bit short due to the storms rolling in. We also took two of our Shire fillies, Gabby and Lass, for the public to pet and visit. All in all, a good time. A special 'Thank You' to our help at the event, Mary Muller and Robyn Becher.

We will be back up at Hale Farm and Village today during their last day of the Sow & Grow Festival. The original forecast was questionable, but it looks like most of the event should be okay. They will also be having a vintage baseball game happening at noon. Come enjoy a relaxing day with us.

The first of the 2026 hay has arrived. We do buy all of our hay, and while most of it is an alfalfa mix, we also get a couple of loads of a nice grass mix from a neighbor. This is generally what we take with us when out at events or shows. This will get unloaded this evening.

Happy 1st Birthday, Phoenix! 🎉
I can't believe its been a year since our Nix came into our lives. We very much miss his mother, Hallie, but know she's happy watching her boy grow. There have certainly been some challenges raising an orphan, but he is such a sweet playful boy. We're not fully sure of our plans for him, but for now he stays, continues to grow and be LOVED. This past weekend we snapped a few new pictures of our Percheron c**t, TLF Royal Heir (Lynden Northern Abraham X TLF May She Reign). He is one handsome boy, and he knows it. We have plans to show him a bit this summer. He will be weaned by early July, and ready to move on to a new home sometime in August. Recently, while we had some of the horses turned out, I caught this beautiful head shot of our Shire gelding, Trail-Light Ultimate Adventure, more affectionately know to most as Indy. While he did already have some mud splashed on him, I couldn't help but admire how stunning he is. Indy is a 2012 model by our previous herd stallion, Nigel, and out of Trail-Light Meggs. Not only is he a great driving horse for us, but we also use him to start all of our youngsters in harness, and he is well broke to ride. He is a regular at most of our public events. Look for him throughout the season at local parades and carriage rides.
