VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!
The Old World Holiday Market is coming back to Arizona W**e Country this December, and we’re officially looking for this year’s artists, makers, bakers, food trucks + small businesses!

Every December we turn The Meading Room into our own little old world holiday market.. hand built wooden market booths, lights, fire pits, live music, w**e + mead, good food, and a rotating lineup of local vendors all month long.

This year’s market dates are:

December 5th [1pm to 7pm]
December 12th [1pm to 7pm]
December 19th [1pm to 7pm]

For the Holiday Market, we provide our wooden vendor booths [approx. 2’ × 6’], so you get to skip hauling a pop-up tent and make the space your own. Booth spaces are $50. We try really hard to curate a good mix of vendors… different kinds of goods, different price points, and a little something for everyone, so applying does not automatically guarantee a spot or every date you request. You’re welcome to apply for multiple Saturdays, and we’ll be selecting vendors as applications come in and as we get closer to the event.

7 years ago today we opened our doors for the first time… the view hasn’t changed, but dang everything else has!

Feeling pretty proud of how much we’ve grown, all the cool parties we’ve thrown along the way, the fun stuff we’ve fermented, and all the fine folks we’ve met.

Couldn’t have done it without my mom Barbara Barndt Christianson, who is living her coastal small town dream now. We built a really cool business together, and I’m proud. She’s always on call for anything and everything.

Kim Christianson for building this gorgeous place, and for being our own personal engineer/problem solver even though he’s wildly overqualified for the job.

AZ Hops and Vines for all the guidance, friendship, encouragement, collaboration, and for being the best hype women we know!

Sabrina Paz Laura Wenzel Mackenzie Donaldson Alyssa K. Brown and everyone else who has ever worked here… for being a part of the dream, keeping this place running, and keeping the vibes up while doing it!

I know there’s a million more people I could add to this list, but I don’t want to make everyone jealous about all the amazing friends, community, colleagues, and loyal supporters I’m so lucky to have 😂

Just know you are all appreciated and loved. Truly, I’m just in awe of the love.

This weekend at The Meading Room! We’ll be closing early Saturday Sep. 26th (last call 3:30pm) for a private event 💒 aka wedding! Say congrats to Toby + Violet! Awwww 💕

We’ll be bumping up our Saturday live music, which usually goes from 2pm to 5pm, to 12pm to 3pm… so come early! Come thirsty! Enjoy the gorgeous vocals of Astra Kelly!

And that’s a wrap on apple season for The Meading Room! If ya didn’t know it, we partner up with our friends up the road, Elgin Orchard, to source the apples for our c***rs. This year we used windfalls… which meant letting the apples fully ripen before gathering them from underneath the trees. sweeter fruit = higher sugar + less waste.

Except, we’re not the only ones waiting for them to fall.

Between momming, orchard keeping, being our local historian, and planning the annual Haunted Orchard event at her place… she’s a true force of nature! You folks are the best, you showed up and showed out… bought us out of green chiles by 4pm & bought every food truck out by the end of the day! Man, are we grateful for yall supporting local and making the trip out to see us every year.

We’ve been working with Lajamari Clay Company clay co. in Douglas, AZ for years now and we love them so much 😭 seriously, nicest family in the west. Every year they hand make a batch of these little clay cups just for Green Chile Fest… stamped with The Meading Room logo and glazed in different colors for different years. But we only release 300! When they’re gone, they’re gone. That’s it folks.
