The 4H club I facilitate participated in Monarch Joint Venture symbolic migration project! This project has been running for 31 years to support conservation awareness and youth communications around the monarch butterfly. We created what’s called an ambassador folder to be mailed to a school in Mexico! The life sized butterfly the youth colored will be given to students in Mexico along with a lesson on the Monarch butterfly. In the spring, Mexican youth color butterflies to mailed back to the club 🥰

Hi community! I am seeking donations for a zero waste engineering challenge or a pumpkin catapult for the 4H club I facilitate. Each youth and their families are engineering and constructing a catapult design to launch a small pumpkin to see which families catapult can launch the furthest! Please contact me if you know of a community member/farm interested in donating 10-20 small pumpkins (pie, Jack be littles ect) to the youth for their project. All pumpkin will be fed to pigs as a treat!l after we graph the distance it flew from the catapults. 🤓Thanks community!
