The Roundup had its ups and downs but I have to call it a success! All but 2 animals received their annual checkup, most with minimal problems. We lost one gate and one pen to escape artists who did not want to be contained. One young yearling got it's head caught under another gate that required removing the gate to free him.
Problem solving on the fly for every problem was done and temporary fixes put in place. Working with an ancient working facility and some very tough animals has its challenges.
On the upside, the animals walked calmly into the corrals the night before when John was right there to lock them in. We also had a great group of volunteers, family and friends. Too many to name, we couldn't have done it without them.
We also had 4 future veterinarians working with our own Dr. Strupp to learn a new skill with some hands on training.
The Burgers and Brats were a big hit too!
