These sweet ladies were traveling back home to Louisiana and made a little detour to Stockdale to stop by The Takery and grab some goodies for the road! 💜💚💛

Y’all… people finding us on social media and actually making us a STOP on their trip?! 😭 I’m still trying to wrap my head around it!

Thank y’all so much for stopping in, visiting with us, and supporting this little dream of mine. Safe travels back to Louisiana—and I hope those Takery goodies make it all the way home! 😂

Y’ALL!!! 😭🫶 What an AMAZING first day at The Takery!

Today has been emotional in the absolute best way. There were moments I just had to stop and take it all in. Seeing everyone gathered around the table, talking, laughing, welcoming each other, hugging, visiting… THIS. This is what I’ve been dreaming about for so long. 🥹

I didn’t just dream about opening a store. I dreamed about creating a place where people could gather, feel welcome, grab some good food, support local families, and feel a little bit of community when they walked through the door.

And y’all showed me TODAY that’s exactly what The Takery can be. ❤️

You have SOLD ME OUT of so many things—and some of our vendors are SOLD OUT too!!! 😭🙌 I don’t even know what to say other than THANK YOU… and somehow that just doesn’t feel big enough.

Thank you for walking through those doors.
Thank you for buying our food.
Thank you for supporting our vendors.
Thank you for every hug, every kind word, every share, every prayer, and every bit of encouragement along the way.

Thank you for showing up and supporting this crazy little dream of mine. Y’all mean more to me than you know. 🫶

Now… this Bayou Lady is headed BACK TO THE KITCHEN because apparently y’all came HUNGRY! 😂👩‍🍳

Time to replenish and get ready to do it all over again tomorrow!

I really can’t believe I’m typing this… tomorrow we open the doors to The Takery. 🥹

Wednesday morning at 10am, something that started as an idea, turned into a dream, and then became a whole lot of praying, planning, late nights, hard work, second guessing and trusting God… becomes real.

The Takery opens. ❤️

And as I’ve been standing in this little store getting everything ready, I keep thinking about one thing…

What do I hope you find when you walk through those doors?

I hope you feel welcome from the minute you walk in—like you’ve gained a new best friend. I hope you know you’re loved, you’re seen, and you belong here.

More than anything, I hope it feels a little like home.

When you look around, I hope you see the Southern Roots & Coastal Soul that are such a big part of who we are. From the food, to the things on the shelves, to every little detail tucked throughout this place—I hope you can see a little piece of us in this store.

Something familiar.

Like Grandma’s kitchen. Like supper on the table. Like somebody telling you to pull up a chair because there’s always room for one more.

Because THAT is what I want The Takery to be.

When you pick up one of our meals, I want you to visualize your family gathered back around the table. Phones down. Talking about the day. Laughing. Connecting. Making memories.

Life is busy. Lord knows mine is. 😂 Sometimes getting everybody around the table feels almost impossible.

So if I can take just ONE thing off your plate by putting supper ON it… then I’ve done what I set out to do. ❤️

Yes, we’re going to have good food. We have some incredible local vendors. We have fun things on the shelves and probably a few things you didn’t know you needed until you walked through the door. 😂

But I want this place to be about so much more than that.

I want to know your name. I want to ask about your babies. I want you to come in and stay awhile. I want neighbors supporting neighbors, small businesses supporting small businesses, and a community that’s a little more connected because of this place.

I want The Takery to be a place where there’s always a seat for you at our table.

To every single person who has ordered from me, shared a post, encouraged me, prayed for me, helped me, believed in me, or stood beside me through this crazy dream… thank you.

And to my family—thank you for letting me pour so much of us into this dream.

I’m nervous. I’m excited. I’m emotional. I’m exhausted. 😂 And I know everything probably won’t be perfect when those doors open Wednesday morning.

But it will be ours.

It will be filled with love.

And I hope when you walk through those doors, you’ll see exactly what we poured into it.

🌿 Bluebonnet Lane Bakery is bringing something we are SO excited to offer — GLUTEN-FREE, DAIRY-FREE & VEGAN options… and y’all, they actually taste AMAZING!! 🙌 Whether you have dietary restrictions or just want something downright delicious, you’re going to want to check these goodies out!

🥖 Mesquite Hollow Bread & Pastries is bringing us straight back to Grandma’s kitchen with old-time pastries and homemade breads — you know, the kind that taste like somebody’s grandma has been in the kitchen all morning making them with love. 😍 SOOO GOOD!!

🥹 THIS is the moment I’ve been waiting for!!!

The very first family-size freezer pans are officially making their way into the Takery freezers! 🙌🏼⚜️

Seeing these pans go in makes this whole dream feel a little more REAL. This is exactly what I envisioned for the Takery — having homemade meals ready to grab when life gets busy and you just need to get supper on the table. ❤️

Busy weeknight? Ball practice? Late night at work? Just flat-out don’t feel like cooking? 😂
Grab a pan, take it home, heat it up, and supper is DONE.

And this is just the beginning… those freezers are about to start filling UP! 👀

🎉 OKAY, Y’ALL… IT’S HAPPENING! 🎉

The doors to Da Bayou Lady Takery & Catering officially open for our SOFT OPENING Wednesday, September 2 at 10AM! 💜⚜️

Why a soft opening? Because this is something BRAND NEW for us, and while I can cook for a crowd all day long… figuring out how much food y’all are about to come sn**ch out of these coolers is a whole different ballgame. 😂😂

So Wednesday, we’re jumping in!

The coolers will be stocked with some of your Bayou Lady favorites, our local vendors will be filling the shelves, and our crew will be ready to welcome you through those doors!

Will we learn some things? Absolutely.

Will we tweak things as we go? You better believe it.

Will we probably sell out of something? Lord, I HOPE SO. 😂

This soft opening gives us a chance to learn what YOU want, what quantities we need to keep on hand, and how to make The Takery the best it can possibly be before we celebrate with a BIG Grand Opening later in September. 🎉

So come see us. Give us a little grace while we learn. Grab something good for supper. Support some amazing local vendors. And most importantly… COME BE PART OF THE BEGINNING. 🥹
