Recipe time! Tonight’s recipe showcases our flavorful farm-fresh ground beef in a creative twist on the classic hamburger steak. The result was truly exceptional. We served it over Bob Evans mashed potatoes. To prepare, brown 1 pound of ground beef with 1/2 sliced onion until cooked through and the onion is tender. Drain and set aside in a bowl. Using the same pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 1/2 tablespoons of flour over medium heat, whisking until smooth. Simmer for a few minutes. Stir in 2 cups of beef broth, then add 1/2 teaspoon or so of onion powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Combine the ground beef and onion mixture back into the gravy and simmer for a few minutes. Serve over mashed potatoes and enjoy!
