In case you missed it, we will be offering a drawing for a Formby Monarch mature cutting at our in-person sale at the Trumansburg farmers market grounds this Saturday from 8 to 12 (Photo below). Formed the monarch is an Australian import, and so beautiful. It's one entry per person, and purchase is required. Best of luck to all who attend.

The location is at the intersection of Route 96 and Hector Road (227). There will be other sellers there, as it's a community event. We hope to see you!

*We will also have a few added cuttings and tubers not listed previously. Finally, we've done a little price reduction on a few of the tuber varieties.

Lots and lots of bagged up labelled tubers waiting for tags for a sale next Saturday at the Trumansburg Farmers Market grounds. So it will be from 8 to 12 noon. 385 tubers and about the same number of cuttings will be for sale. I'll update the finalized list of plants and tubers available later today. I'm working to sort cuttings today so I'll share some photos soon. Hope to see you then!

Hey there! We have decided to sell some of our extra cuttings and tubers at the Trumansburg Farmers Market on May 9 from 8 AM to 12 pm. Like many of you, I'm already planning my spring garden. But since deciding to sell flowers, the process is different this year. After a great deal of thought, we are growing some new addiitons for earlier blooms. I'm also leaning into my love of waterlily dahlias and sweet peas. So, we are growing a bigger patch of Spence and Grandiflora sweet peas. Also trying our hands at growing ranunculus and lisianthus this year. More to come soon about all of this, but here are a few of last year's waterlily dahlias. See why I love them?

Starting my cutting process really early this year. It's a new experiment for me. But, I've come across some rare tubers and imports within the last year that I plan on expanding in my garden, and hopefully sharing. Please follow along on Facebook if you're interested in some of these rare dahlias and new hybrids. I'll most likely sell some cuttings starting in February. Or, just follow along and I'll share the process with you. Happy to show you all the ups and downs. Maybe it will save you a few steps of your own in the future if you decide to try this too.

Currently propagating these varieties:
Floralie Antique
Formby Monarch
Czarny Charakter
Levi's Blue Smoke
Arulean Leatrice
Hapet Rose Dream
Burfoot Lotus
Carolina Wagemans
RM Baby Girl
Hollyhill Pandora
Miss Ann Francis
Chateau de la Bourdaisiere
Lee's Ellis

I'll start some other varieties in January.

And that's a wrap! Spent some time enjoying these beauties yesterday and made a few more arrangements to give away before the frost hit. This has been a wonderful experiment and allowed me to be outside in nature more than ever. Although there's a lot of work yet to harvest and store all these dahlias, I'm already looking forward to next spring. Our heartfelt thanks to all who supported our little flower cart. 💐🌻🌸

I've had my eye on this one for a long time and it was worth the wait. The images I saw online didn't do it justice, and neither do these. Working on fall cuttings with this one today.

No flowers this weekend, but I'll be back next week. Here are a couple more recent blooms that have popped up, and a two other photos at the end... if anybody can help me name the spider, I'd be grateful. He was pretty cool.
