The Bates family invites you to come and enjoy our farm on our 100-acre ranch. Visit with mini-donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, pigs, emus, chickens, peacocks, ducks, geese & more! The animals love visitors, and will eat from your hands. Bags of animal feed can be purchased for $0.75; admission is free. The Bates retail store offers a wide variety of nuts, candies, gourmet treats, fudge, gifts, and

décor, including many local brands. Or shop for women’s accessories, gifts, clothing, and home décor at Farmer’s Daughter. We have events year round including our Pumpkin Patch, Easter Egg Hunt, Arts & Crafts Fairs, Antiques, Collectibles & Crafts Markets, Fine Art Fairs, Car Shows and many more! Pony rides are back at the farm on Saturday, July 4th, from 10:00am–2:00pm with Snows Pony Rides & Farm Animals!

Bring the kids for a day of farm fun with pony rides and visits with our friendly farm animals at the Bates Farm Zoo!

📸 Plus... We had to share this adorable rider from our last pony ride! We loved the Michael Jackson-inspired outfit—it definitely made us smile! 🕺✨ Thank you to everyone who comes by for pony rides. We truly enjoy meeting all of you each month!

Located just outside Escondido, you can spend a day in the country without leaving San Diego County. 🧡

We're open daily from 9am–5pm!

Pro tip: Animal feed can be purchased at our vending machines for 25¢ in front of the chickens and used to feed the animals at our farm zoo! Please only feed them with our animal feed, thanks!

Congratulations to all of the handlers and their dogs. It's been wonderful watching the talent, teamwork, and dedication on display throughout the weekend.
