Callie has restocked goodies. She also brought up some Cookie Butter Pound Cake that is to die for 🤤

I’m headed in to the kitchen to prep bread. Regular and sourdough sandwich bread coming soon. 🍞

Bad news: I didn’t do any baking of bread today.

Good news: Callie did a bunch of baking and y’all are in for some treats tomorrow.

Today didn’t go quite as planned. I ended up over at my dear friend Marybeth’s house doting on her brand new heifer calf & admiring what a great mama her girl Patty is. We worked together to get Patty milked out for the first time because OH GOLLY was that bag HUGE! She is going to be a dream to milk.

I feel so grateful to have farm friend to share these exciting milestones with! Congrats on your new baby Marybeth. She is precious 🥰

Good morning! Happy Monday ☀️

We got so much done at the farm yesterday.

Lots of clean up, 7 new fruit trees planted and we moved the girls to pasture 1 in preparation for our new permanent fencing going in hopefully in this coming month. 🤞🏻

🥛 Today we have 2 gallons up for grabs.

☕️ No espresso milks this week as we wait for a coffee restock from our favorite Monderosa Coffee Company

🍪 Baked goods will be stocked throughout the day & I’ll update here when they are delivered to The Milk Shack.

🧀 farmer cheese will be restocked too.

🍞 I planned to bake bread today to get out there but it’s looking like that may have to wait for tomorrow since I’ve had a couple things come up.

Our Great Pyrenees Hannah is really loving these cooler temps I can barely get her to come in the house 😍

We only milk 2 cows. The downside to that is we sometimes have limited supply depending on cycles. We hope that with the addition of Clover to the milking herd next year we won’t encounter this in the future.

Plan ahead! Supplies will be lower in November and December and the first couple weeks in January will be completely dry until Daphne has had milk testing done and is clear to resume consuming. During this period Della will also be dry in preparation for her early March calf(s?) 🤞🏻

All this to say HERE is your sign to plan ahead! Milk freezes well if you do it right. Just start picking up an extra half gallon or two when you can and freeze it!

Today I am thankful for a handy husband.

Our dishwasher broke mid week. I was in a slight panic trying to figure out where we would pull money from to replace it. 😵‍💫

B got online and figured out what was probably wrong and ordered some parts online. They got here today, he installed them and we are back in business!

You may have noticed less milk & goodies last week. That was mostly why. 🤭 I was just trying to not make more dishes for myself. ✌🏻🫶🏻🐮
