Three puppies have already found their future families, but a few are still looking for their people.
Should we do dating profiles for the rest of the puppies? πŸ‘€πŸΎ

🐢✨ 4 Weeks Old Already! ✨🐢

The puppies are officially four weeks old, and their personalities are getting bigger every day.

We've graduated from mostly eating and sleeping to exploring, playing, wrestling, and occasionally testing the effectiveness of the puppy pen. πŸ˜‚

They've been doing great with puppy gruel, love their morning playtime, and are becoming more curious about the world around them.

Since we're going with a Disney theme this litter, some of the names so far are:

🏹 Hamish
🏹 Hubert
πŸ‘‘ Tiana
πŸ•Œ Jasmine

And I'm still trying to decide between Cinderella, Pocahontas, or Snow White ("Snow" for short) for one of the blue girls. πŸ’›

Three puppies have already found their future families and will be meeting them in about a month. For now, we're enjoying getting to know the rest of these little personalities as they grow.

If you've been following along and would like more information, feel free to send me a message. School photos of those available will be coming soon.

For now, we're enjoying the puppy chaos one morning play session at a time... and keeping an eye on the escape artists. πŸΆπŸ’›

🐢 3 Weeks Old Already! 🐢

The puppies have officially graduated from the whelping pool and moved into bigger accommodations. πŸ˜‚

A few weeks ago they were tiny potatoes that mostly ate and slept. Now they're starting to explore, play, wobble around, and show off little bits of their personalities.

They've also been enjoying puppy gruel and are doing really well with the transition.

It's always amazing how quickly things change at this stage. One week they're opening their eyes, and the next they're figuring out how to get into trouble. πŸ’›

Stella is still doing a wonderful job with her crew, and we're enjoying watching them grow.

A few of the puppies are already spoken for when they turn 8 weeks old, and we're starting to learn more about each puppy's personality as they develop. If you've been following along and would like more information, feel free to send me a message.

For now, we'll just keep enjoying the puppy chaos. πŸΆπŸ˜‚

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

A small group of inmates has begun testing the security of the puppy pool.

At just a few weeks old, a couple of them have discovered they can climb out, and they're very proud of themselves. πŸ˜‚

The suspects are considered extremely cute, highly determined, and are becoming more adventurous by the day as they start exploring the world outside the pool.

Stella is doing a wonderful job with her little troublemakers, and we're enjoying watching their personalities come out more each day. πŸ’›

If you've been thinking about adding an Australian Cattle Dog/heeler puppy to your family, feel free to send me a message for more information.

More escape attempts are expected in the coming days. πŸΆπŸ˜‚

🐢 Two weeks old already! 🐢

The puppies have officially reached one of my favorite milestones... their eyes are open! πŸ‘€πŸ’›

They're still spending most of their time eating, sleeping, and piling on top of each other, but their little personalities are starting to peek through now.

It's also about the age where they're beginning to notice the world around them a little more, which is always fun to watch.

And yes... they're still ridiculously cute. 😍

Stella is doing a wonderful job, and we're soaking up all the puppy snuggles while they're still this little.

I'll be taking individual puppy photos soon, which will probably end up looking somewhere between adorable puppy glamour shots and awkward school pictures πŸ˜‚

If you've been thinking about one of these little fluffballs, feel free to send me a message for more information. πŸ’›

Another IQHA District 7, District 8, and Nishna Valley Saddle Club show is in the books πŸ’›

It was a very typical show in Denison with a little bit of everything… rain, thunderstorms, storm warnings, clouds, sunshine, wind, and plenty of behind-the-scenes chaos πŸ˜‚

It was great catching up with old friends, meeting some new ones, and seeing everyone out there showing despite the weather swings.

Ella also got to try something new this show and learned how to flag the roping classes on some really great horses that JD Yates was kind enough to let her borrow. Definitely a little outside her comfort zone at times, but also a lot of fun once she settled in.

Sonny had a great show too:
πŸ₯‡ 1st both days in Amateur & Open Aged Mares
πŸ† Grand Champion Amateur both days
πŸ† Grand Champion Open the first day

The second day had a little snafu and a forgotten number swap in the Open πŸ˜‚ Oops. Things happen. At least Sonny and Ella are one step closer to their Amateur Register of Merit together!

Overall, we’re incredibly proud of Sonny and grateful for everyone who helped make the show happen behind the scenes πŸ’›

How are these puppies already ONE WEEK old?! πŸΆπŸ’›

The little potato stage is quickly turning into chunky, wiggly puppies with tiny personalities already starting to peek through πŸ‘€

Right now they mostly look like tiny little moo cows πŸ˜‚ but their colors are slowly starting to come in more every day. At this stage I can mostly tell who’s blue and who’s red by whether their spots are turning black or brown.

Stella is doing an amazing job with all 10 babies, though she definitely appreciates getting little breaks once in a while now too.

We’ve also got a little space heater set up nearby to help keep everyone warm since puppies can’t regulate their own body temperature very well for the first couple weeks πŸ’›

One little girl is already spoken for, another girl will likely be soon, and honestly it’s been so fun watching people already fall in love with them.

Normally Stella only gives us a couple girls each litter, so having SIX girls this time around definitely surprised us πŸ˜‚

Now we wait for eyes to start opening and the real chaos to begin 🐾

Well… Stella said β€œgo big or go home” apparently πŸ˜‚πŸΆ

10 puppies arrived yesterday and so far everyone is doing well πŸ’›

Final puppy count:
🐾 1 blue boy
🐾 3 blue girls
🐾 2 red boys
🐾 4 red girls

And I’m pretty sure every single one ended up with double masks too πŸ‘€

Stella is already settling into mom mode like a pro while the rest of us are running on excitement, puppy snuggles, and very little sleep πŸ˜‚

Now we wait to see all the personalities start coming out.

Puppy watch updateπŸΆπŸ‘€

Puppy watch was already serious around here… but now we are getting SUPER close πŸ’›

Stella officially hit the two month mark yesterday, spent most of the day looking uncomfortable and dramatic, and then finally climbed into the puppy pool on her own last night.

Normally she wants absolutely nothing to do with it unless she’s feeling ready, so I’d say the countdown is definitely on now πŸ˜‚

At this point we’re basically just waiting, watching, and trying to keep β€œfat girl” comfortable while we wait for puppies any day now.

Puppy prep officially started around here πŸΆπŸ’›

With puppies coming any day now and warmer weather around the corner, the dog pools definitely needed some attention πŸ˜…

I do try to clean these up multiple times every year, but there’s always that layer of dog slime, dirt, and farm grime that never fully seems to come off… and honestly, I genuinely didn’t think these were salvageable this time πŸ˜‚

This was my first year using MelaMagic with the pressure washer though and HOLY CRAP πŸ‘€

I was honestly shocked at how clean they came.

Especially with puppies coming and the dogs using these to cool off during summer, it felt good getting them cleaned up again without feeling like I was using a bunch of super harsh stuff around them. One of the things I liked most was that it doesn’t contain things like chlorine bleach, ammonia, or formaldehyde.

One pool also decided to make my life easier by already having a crack in it before I even started cleaning 🀣 so I guess that answered the question of which one becomes the summer dog pool and which one becomes the puppy containment/play area for those first couple weeks.

Now we wait for puppies πŸ‘€πŸΆ
