Leah is working on getting Brew groomed and looking his best for show day. There’s a lot of time, patience, and a whole lot of hair therapy that goes into getting these guys ready!

A couple of firsts in the hay field last night...Harper and Tyler got to learn how to steer the tractors. Harper even did it all by herself!

There’s something pretty special about watching the next generation learn the things that have always been a part of farm life. ❤️

Meet the Herd: FRVF Sir Oliver (Ollie)

Ollie may not be the loudest or flashiest llama in the herd, but his calm, steady personality makes him a special part of our 4-H family. We're excited to see Parker and Ollie doing what they do best at the Coshocton County Fair this year!

The backpacks are packed, the school buses are rolling, and the farm is getting a little quieter… at least until everyone gets home! 😂

To celebrate back to school we thought we'd share a flash back to Leah and Madi at the Scare Crow festival in Coshocton awhile back. Stormy was dressed up as a school bus and Gunner was a zebra.

Barista may not be the loudest personality in the herd, but she's one of the most important. Between her success in the show ring, her outstanding maternal instincts, and the bright future ahead of her offspring, she's helping shape the future of Flint Run Valley Farms one beautiful cria at a time.

Did you know they put beet juice in tractor tires??!? Well we found out for sure this week. Apparently it's pretty common.

Why use beet juice instead of just air?

-It adds weight (called ballast) to improve traction.
-Helps stabilize the tractor, especially when carrying heavy loads.
-Lowers the tractor's center of gravity for added safety.
-It won't freeze in cold weather like plain water.
-And it's a more environmentally friendly option than some other liquid tire fills.

We definitely weren't expecting to see a splash of beet juice when this tire came off! Farm life is full of little surprises, and we're always learning something new.
