Most people don’t know this:
Country-of-origin rules for imported beef already exist — and they’re not optional.

Here’s what the law actually says:
- 9 CFR 327.14(a) — Those markings must stay on the product all the way to the final consumer.
- 9 CFR 327.6(a)(1) — Every lot of imported meat must be reinspected by a U.S. inspector.

These laws were written to prevent relabeling, commingling, and deception.
But USDA replaced enforcement with loopholes:
Substantial Transformation + Risk-Based Inspection.

The regulations are already in place.
USDA just isn’t following them.
