What is ASD?? We have been working with farmers on the Anaerobic Soil Disinfestation process and how to make this process give farmers the strongest and biggest yield.

Prep and covering is the most important part of the process. You want to make sure to have plastic tarp, a good drop system, and a way to get it done the most efficiently. If you wait too long to tarp and water this process will not be as effective.

Testing is optional, but it’s recommended. You should try testing the ORP of your soil by crating a small hole in your tarp and then covering it back up with duct tape to ensure the soil is still airtight. The number should begin going down as the fermentation process begins.

In 3 weeks the anaerobic process should be over and your soil ORP should go back up to a normal level.

Wait at least three weeks and then transplant as normal.
