“Cows don’t know it’s Christmas.”
That’s the ranch-grown logic that shaped Judy Wagner—former CMO of Montana Silversmiths, lifelong cowgirl mentor, and true Western trailblazer.
In this clip, Judy shares how growing up the oldest of eight on a ranch in Avon, Montana, taught her everything: horses that could pack six kids ba****ck, the grit of losing her dad in a tractor accident at 16, and the simple truth that cowboys and cowgirls have always done the same work, shoulder to shoulder.
No titles. No differences. Just do what needs to be done.
This is only a taste of her story.

Horses are easy. People are difficult.
Chris Cox drops pure gold on mindset:
Unhappy people often try to pull others down to justify where they are.
Good people attract good people.
Same principle applies in the saddle.
He used to get on looking for problems… now he looks for what the horse can do, rewards it, and the rest starts melting away.
Attitude is everything — how you show up for your horse… and for the people in your life and business.
Wisdom from one of the best.

Unlock better movement in the saddle 🐎

Riders, tight hips and limited lumbar mobility holding you back? Dr. Allie Baier of EquiPT Intuitive Riding breaks down simple diagonal patterns that open up your range of motion the way your body actually moves.

She’s a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in equestrians—blending clinical expertise with real-world riding experience to help you ride with more freedom, balance, and connection (without the constant bracing or tipping).
In this clip she shares why angular stretches beat linear ones, how to hit both lines of the “X,” and why hip + thoracic rotation are your biggest opportunities as a rider.

Slim Richardson keeps it real:
Priorities are simple — feed, water, and bedding.
Horses need to be fed on time, just like we need our breakfast. They’re athletes. They need their energy, their grain, and always fresh water.
As Donna Moore always said… horses have to have fresh water, bedding, and hay.
That quiet, contented crunching? That’s pure passion.

Legendary caretaker and UPHA Caretaker Hall of Fame inductee Ricky “Slim” Richardson shares the quiet wisdom that comes from a lifetime of true horsemanship. Love and compassion you can see in a horse’s eyes, motions, and heart. Soft hands. Perfect timing. The difference between asking and demanding.

“It’s just like fly fishing… when you hook him, you gotta bring him in or you’re gonna lose him.”
From decades spent with the greats to the old-fashioned care that still defines quality horsekeeping, Slim’s perspective is pure gold.

Multi-week tours.

A different city every night. Starting horses cold, one after another—while many in the crowd quietly hoped to see him fail.

One man claimed he had a horse that had never been ridden.
Craig’s reply was straightforward: “Go get him.”

An hour later the trailer backed up to the round pen.
By the time the session ended, that same man was a believer.

Positivity. Accepting the challenge. Courage paired with the will to prepare.

That’s how skepticism becomes respect.

How do you really start connecting with a new horse?

Dan James breaks it down: turn them loose in the round pen, control the direction, change it up, and draw that eye + shoulder. It’s not just “join-up” — it’s that moment where the horse chooses to look back at you instead of treating you like a WEIRDO!

Mental connection first. Everything else (balance, drive, through) follows. Especially powerful for horses that have had the life lunged out of them.
