We weaned all 5 calves today, and this is our first year trying fence-line weaning.

Let me tell you, NOBODY is happy around here. The mamas are yelling, the babies are yelling, and I don’t remember them being this loud for other weanings. Maybe it’s because they are all right next to each other 😂😂

Send help, earplugs, and maybe something stronger than coffee. Reminder to self: apologize to the neighbors before they start texting. 😬

We picked up this red cow at B&C Show-Me Longhorn Sale she is very correct and a big soggy body.

🎉 Happy 14th Birthday to Grand Deluge PC20! 🎉

She’s our oldest cow and one of the originals from our started herd. ❤️ We’re so thankful she’s still here with us, making her mark and keeping everyone in line! 🐮👑

Happy Birthday, Wugey! ❤️

Our girl BH5 Red Rex is 3! 🎂🐮❤️

She has now celebrated three birthdays with us, and this girl will always be a little extra special around here because she was the FIRST heifer ever born on our ranch. Our original homegrown girl. 🥹

And look at her now! She’s growing into one heck of a beautiful cow and a wonderful mom that has already given us a gorgeous heifer sired by Hicks Stetson and she’s confirmed bred back to him again for another spring calf. 🤞fingers crossed for another heifer.

I can’t wait to watch this girl continue to grow.

Happy 3rd birthday, Rex! ❤️
