Life is expensive right now. One of my goals as a baker has always been to provide the community with healthy, nourishing food that is affordable and meets the needs each family has.
Back-to-school season has been on my heart. I know families are SO busy, and will be trying to get back into a rhythm of meal prepping and schedules. I also know that all of us are extra mindful of every dollar with how expensive everything is currently.
After a lot of careful testing and number-crunching, I am so incredibly excited to announce a new addition to the Jay Cooks Bakery menu: The $5 Sandwich Sourdough Loaf.
And this isn't a scaled-down version. Itās a hearty 1000g loaf, the exact same size as our large signature loaves.
A quick note on ingredients:
Fully organic flour is expensive, but I refuse to compromise on quality. To make this $5 price point possible, these specific loaves are crafted with a premium, non-GMO, unbleached flour from Dakota Maid. The sourdough starter within the bread remains 100% organic!
(Note: Our fully organic sandwich loaves are still available at their usual price for those who prefer them).
This project truly comes from a place of love for this community. I want you to be able to confidently walk past the bread aisle at Walmart knowing you have a fresh, healthy, and locally made option waiting for you at a similar price.
