Summer 2026 Beekeeping 🐝
This being our first harvest of 2026 and our second year of beekeeping it has been quite enjoyable. It has proven to be a true learning experience, and maybe even a few tough lessons delivered by the bees 🐝 .
We have six (6) active hives in operation, but after our summer inspection we decided not to deplete the bees honey storage. For this reason we only removed two (2) medium honey supers, twenty (20) frames, from our strongest hive.
That being said, we are still extremely pleased to report that our 2026 Summer Honey Harvest yielded us 60 pounds (lbs)/960 oz/27,216 grams of harvested dark honey. While we haven’t rendered the wax yet, I believe that we might have 1 pound.
