The PALO CORTADO style that spent 22 years in casks was snapped up in 28 minutes when it went on sale.
Ok, fine, we only made 998 bottles.

The Hanepoot Jerepigo is the next release. There are 600 bottles. Tastenit and take a bottle home from our Saldanha Beach Bar (open selected Saturdays Sept, Oct, Nov).

👆 PSDT aka The Malmesbury Missile. 100 tests for the Springboks yesterday in the Boks 33-26 victory against the All Blacks. A Swartland son from these soils. So super proud of him.

You should know the drill by now because this is one of my favourite events in Cape Town… Wednesday Wine & Dine at Harringtons 🥂

3 courses, welcome drink & full wine tasting. Only R375 pp, every Wednesday, featuring a new wine partner every month.

This month they’ve partnered with AA Badenhorst Family Wines Family Wines and the tasting includes a welcome cocktail made with their Capertif Vermouth (think Aperol, but a proudly South African take), their Secateurs Range Chenin & Red Blend, as well as their Papegaaai and The Riviera wines.

On the food side: you have a choice of two starters, for mains you have a creamy garlic, butternut & sage linguini, pan seared linefish or their flame grilled ribeye with a creamy peri-peri sauce. Then they wrap things up with baked custard pots topped with a chocolate coated honeycomb & vanilla cookie crunch.

Get there early to take advantage of happy hour specials & half price tapas (4pm to 6pm).

SA YOUNG WINE SHOW SA Young Wine Show
Regional winners of Fortified wines, again. In pursuit of the Jan Smuts Trophy, the holy grail !
The oldest wine competition in the southern hemisphere was started in 1833.
Lammershoek our neighbours Lammershoek won the Chenin Blanc trophy this year

The trophy sitting softy on a skaapvel kept warm next to the fire.
