I know that a video of an airlock bubbling out carbon dioxide isn't very exciting. It is a welcome sign that a batch is underway, very quickly in this case. Will it be done in time for a release this year? Good question, I may have left it a bit late.
Another detail about this that I like is the 3 part airlock I got a while back. These airlocks have several great features. The clip on top with small holes to let the CO2 out will also keep things from getting in. The conical insert will help if the liquid needs a top up. The tapered stem makes it easy to fit, and it is quieter.

Letting you know that I am unable to attend markets this weekend at Bardon tonight 16/10/2026 and Witton Barracks 18/10/2026 after falling during a morning bicycle ride.
There is also an event coming up interstate November 13th to 16th that I will be attending, so no markets that weekend either.

Bright and early start to the day setting up at the Brisbane Market Rocklea. We can be found in the Planta Palooza aisle where many plant/garden elements are being celebrated. With mead being made from honey, it is a good fit!

Bardon Market food trucks are set up d ready to go. The Diemen Drink meads are ready for you to taste. No Third Man are playing tonight, and the Kombi Bar has beverages by the glass. Should be a very pleasant evening.

Bardon Market starts any minute now. Tonight is movie night down on the oval. In the video, I said the movie tonight is Over the Fence, oops, Over the HEDGE. Come taste some mead, grab some food, and take a rug down to enjoy a free movie.
