Gala Estate Vineyard Our family have been living & loving this land for 200yrs. In 1821, Gala Estate was granted to James Amos.

Originally of Galashiels in Scotland, our family now makes up the 6th, 7th and 8th generations of descendants .Producing a stunning range of hand-crafted, estate grown ,multi award winning wines.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG AT GALA •

The first signs of the new season are here, with budburst underway in our Chardonnay block - usually the first of our vines to wake from its winter slumber.

Our Vintage Sparkling Rose is back!

After a much anticipated wait! Introducing the new vintage 2021 - with a slight name change, but the same impeccably balanced, refined drop we all know & love!

Now named ‘Lavinia & Mathilda’ in honour of the first children born at Gala in 1823, this special vintage celebrates both our world-class sparkling w**e & the rich heritage of our land here in Cranbrook.

And there’s even more good news…Our Cellar Door is back open too! 🥂

As a family-run business with a small team, we’re taking August as a well-earned break to enjoy some family time together & recharge for the busy seasons ahead.

Like many of our fellow East Coast w**eries, we take a winter pause each year - a chance to step back, to be able to work on the business rather than just in it…planting the seeds for what’s next.

We’re thrilled to share that at the Decanter World W**e Awards, our 2023 Constable Amos Grand Reserve Pinot Noir was awarded 94 pts & a Silver Medal.

To be recognised in one of the world’s largest w**e competitions is incredibly meaningful, not only for our w**e but for Tasmanian w**e globally. We’re feeling inspired! Not a bad passport application for a w**e that’s dreaming of its first overseas voyage 🌏🍷
