With harvest over, they’re closing the loop on our farms eco system. Our favourite all-in-one tool for w**d control, natural fertilizer & healthier soil.

Adam & I are incredibly humbled to be acknowledged in the Top 100 wineries in Australi

We wouldn’t be here without our small farm team - Travis, Albert, Tom, Auley, Bob, Pat & Carla - who always pull together every year with shared dedication. We’re also deeply grateful to our winemakers Liam & Pat, whose craft & passion have helped make this recognition possible. To our wider Tasmanian wine community, thank you for the knowledge sharing amongst friends who support & lift us all.

We’ve always seen The Real Review as an important benchmark for Australian wine & being included among such respected producers is both rewarding & motivating.

Most of all, it inspires us to keep improving year after year. Thank you to everyone who supports what we do. We’re proud to share this journey with you.

Sixth generation of family at Gala Estates & Bob’s still part of the daily rhythm here. At 83, he’s still riding a motorbike - though we couldn’t quite convince him to pop a wheelie for the camera.

Some things speak for themselves, that’s family for you.

• HARVEST 2026 •

East Coast Pinot Noir came off quick and clean, ahead of most other regions of Tasmania. But overall we’re tracking later than expected, there’s still a bit of work to do with 3 blocks of Syrah & 1 block of Riesling waiting on the vines.

The upside, fruit quality has been fantastic across the board. The tougher reality is in the numbers, with yields down roughly 50% on last season.

It’s shaping up as a classic “quality over quantity” year.

Happy Birthday Adam • No rest for the wicked

Adam spent today in the vines. Cool season, slow ripening - the vines aren’t the only thing maturing out there.

•CELLAR DOOR OPEN ALL EASTER WEEKEND•

We are here for you - Looking for a special drop to share with the family this weekend?

Carla’s pick (our cellar door manager) is our 2017 Estate Chardonnay - drinking beautifully right now, offering the perfect balance of richness & elegance for your holiday feasts. A special back vintage that won’t be around for much longer!

Please know our cellar door is set in an old pioneering cottage with limited space - so if you’re bringing your family in for a tasting, might be worth calling ahead to make sure our group table is available. But know, we will always make time & space for walk ins. Takeaway bottles a go go!

Wishing you & yours a long weekend filled with great food & wine! X All @ Gala

New Realease • New look, same premium pour!

Our 2023 Constable Amos Grand Reserve Pinot Noir has landed in our cellar door.

Intense, powerful yet graceful. Give it a swirl then a sniff - a magical moment before the first sip. One to be savoured.

PINOT GRIS • It’s sampling time in the vineyard to test & forecast picking dates.

These Pinot Gris grapes are 11 baume (sugar level), we have our sights set on picking at 12.5 baume. We estimate another 2 weeks til harvest!

It’s been a cooler season here in Tassie, slower ripening means we can build beautiful fruit flavours while holding onto that vibrant natural acidity Tassie is known for. Crisp & full of structure…just how we like it!

We’re so lucky to call this place home — cray season on the East Coast. Yes, it’s a little luxe. But mostly, it’s just a reflection of where we are & what this coastline can give us.
We love the chance of heading out on the boat, salt in the air, a dive. Good company around the table, & a glass of Chardonnay that speaks of our patch of dirt. What a blessing!
