Fungi filled hike through the woods 🍄🍄‍🟫🍄

I usually walk this trail in the winter, it's a totally different world in late summer 🤩 we even saw a fairy ring!

Maybe this cool & moist summer has encouraged all of the mushrooms to fruit? There were so many more species, the entire trail was a mushroom wonderland 🍄‍🟫🍄🍄‍🟫

Do you know how to forage for edible mushrooms? I've only ever looked for morels 🫣

Beautiful fresh veggies from our friend at Homme de Terre in Haileybury 🤩

All organically grown with care, and on our farm shop shelves while they last!

The yellow beans are so tender and tasty, I'm looking forward to enjoying some for dinner tonight 😉

Find them all at the corner of Hwy 11 and Flemings Road, just outside of Haileybury. We're open Sunday-Thursday from 12-6 this week 🧄

We finished taking off all the honey from our hives this week 🍯

Anything that wasn't ready to harvest we left with the Bees to pack into their winter stores 🐝💕

Making honey takes such an colossal collective effort, and it's amazing how much the honeybees can produce together over a short Northern summer. They're an incredible inspiration ✨️

Now it's our turn to work, we have a lot of honey to extract!

Chokecherry jelly is on the way this week!

I started making chokecherry jelly last summer after a few customers asked for it at the Farmers' Market 🍒 The flavour was wonderfully sweet-tart, I'm excited to have a jar of my own again 😋

With so many chokecherry trees growing right here in our farm fencelines I'm looking forward to picking cherries every summer for jelly 😊

We're cutting our comb honey today 🍯

Straight from the hive to you! Sweet honey wrapped up in beautiful beeswax, it doesn't get much simpler than honeycomb 🐝

We have limited quantities of honeycomb again this year, so if you're a comb honey lover be sure to get some before it's gone again 💛

You can find us at the Cobalt Library Market this Thursday from 4-7pm, and at the Hilliardton Marsh Hummingbird Party this Saturday from 9am-12pm 🌸 We'll be back at the Riverside Farmers Market next Saturday.
