Our friends at Black Yak Cattle Company have asked us to consign their herd of Yaks, and we are excited to help find these unique animals their next homes!
But… what exactly is a Yak? 🤔
Yaks are bovines, meaning they’re part of the same family as cattle, bison, and other familiar members of the bovine family. Originally from the high-altitude regions of Tibet and Central Asia, Yaks are incredibly hardy animals known for thriving in cold, mountainous environments. ❄️🏔️
They’re traditionally raised for meat, milk, and fibre, and their thick, shaggy coats make them one of the most recognizable and unique bovines around!
Whether you’re looking to add something different to your herd, start your own Yak operation, or simply want some seriously cool cattle, this is a great opportunity!

• 1–2 registered bulls
• 6 yearling steers — suitable for pet or meat
