It’s a bittersweet day here at KTK. 🩷

Today, we said goodbye to two very special boys, KTK Charlie and Redbull, as we dropped them off at their new forever home on Salt Spring Island.

While it’s never easy watching our babies leave, we truly couldn’t be happier with the match between these boys and their new owners. Knowing they are going to be so loved, spoiled, and cared for makes saying goodbye just a little bit easier. 🥹❤️

We’re so proud to see the first of our babies head off to their new home this year. Charlie and Redbull will definitely be missed around here — they’ve been a huge part of our days, and it’s always a little quieter when they leave. But there’s also something so special about watching the animals we’ve raised find their people and bring so much happiness to their new families.

This is what we love about what we do. We’ll continue bringing in babies, giving them lots of love and attention, halter breaking them, getting them ready for their new adventures, and helping them find the perfect forever homes. 🐮🩷

Congratulations to Emily & Leo Reeves! We hope Charlie and Redbull bring you just as much happiness as they have brought us. We couldn’t have asked for a better home for these two boys. 🩷

Until next time, boys — go make your new family just as proud of you as we are. 🥹🐮🩷

📢 KTK TRANSPORT — SEPTEMBER ANNOUNCEMENT 🐴🐄

As summer winds down, KTK Transport is taking a little time off the road — but we certainly won’t be sitting still! 😉

From September 1st–30th, KTK Transport will be paused for HORSE AND LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT while we turn our focus to another very important part of what we do: our own cattle, public education, and fall fairs! 🎪🐮
Even though we will be paused our 24/7 Emergency Services still remains open and available.

September is a busy and exciting month for us as we get the opportunity to bring our unique group of animals out into the community, meet fellow livestock enthusiasts, introduce people to agriculture, and share what we love about the livestock industry.

You’ll find us at various fall fairs and agricultural events throughout the month, where we’ll be bringing some of our own cattle and other critters along for everyone to meet. If you see us, come say hi! 👋

🚛 TRANSPORT SERVICES

Our regular HORSE AND LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT services will resume October 1st, 2026.

We appreciate everyone who trusts KTK Transport with their animals and continues to support our small business. Taking a month away from hauling allows us to put some time, energy, and attention into the other side of KTK — raising our own livestock and educating the public about agriculture.

So if you’ve been looking for us on the road in September, don’t worry…

We haven’t disappeared — we’re just trading the steering wheel for the fairgrounds! 🐄🎪

Check on our page for our September fall fair schedule and updates on where you can come meet us and our animals!

We will still do our best to respond and help book you in for October. Your patience hasn’t gone unnoticed and we appreciate your dedication to us, and the services we provide.

CONSIGNMENT SALE

🐂 HERD DISPERSAL — YAKS! 🏔️

Our friends at Black Yak Cattle Company have asked us to consign their herd of Yaks, and we are excited to help find these unique animals their next homes!

But… what exactly is a Yak? 🤔

Yaks are bovines, meaning they’re part of the same family as cattle, bison, and other familiar members of the bovine family. Originally from the high-altitude regions of Tibet and Central Asia, Yaks are incredibly hardy animals known for thriving in cold, mountainous environments. ❄️🏔️

They’re traditionally raised for meat, milk, and fibre, and their thick, shaggy coats make them one of the most recognizable and unique bovines around!

Whether you’re looking to add something different to your herd, start your own Yak operation, or simply want some seriously cool cattle, this is a great opportunity!

🐂 AVAILABLE:

• 7 good, bred cows
• 1–2 registered bulls
• 6 yearling steers — suitable for pet or meat

✨ Selling individually OR as a herd
✨ Group pricing available
✨ Prices vary depending on the animal

Yaks are definitely not your everyday cattle — and that’s exactly what makes them so special!

📍 Located in the Okanagan
Transport Available

Interested in adding some Yaks to your pasture? Send us a message for pricing, availability, and more information!

📩 Contact us today — we’d be happy to help you find the right animals for you!

Notice: Any animals consigned by KTK Transport are to be transported by KTK Transport, at the earliest convenient date available or purchaser can organize transport them selves but will be charged a 10 % commission on the sale.
