Excited to go to some new spots before the World Congress! Thank you to Kansas City for putting this show on!
Please help us in welcoming our second hitch for this spring, Silver Oak Percherons!
Silver Oak Percherons is owned by Darcy and Sherri Strain and family of Virden, Manitoba, Canada, where they raise and exhibit Percheron horses alongside their two sons, Ethan and Mathew. For five generations, the Strain family has proudly carried forward a deep‑rooted passion for the Percheron breed, contributing to the strength and success of the industry through decades of dedication.
The Strain family raises approximately 10 Percheron foals each year and remains actively involved in showcasing the breed. In 2026, they are exhibiting a black Percheron mare hitch in preparation for the World Percheron Congress, July 6–11 in St. Paul, Minnesota. These mares are being fitted by Richard Yoder and family of Bloomfield, Iowa, and can be seen competing across the Midwest leading up to the World Percheron Congress.
