We had a fantastic day on Sunday celebrating both Father's Day and our Festival of Wine Week! ☀️🍷

With the sun shining and temperatures soaring, we found the perfect spot in the shade and enjoyed an afternoon of soul, rhythm and blues from The Mike Wilson Trio, alongside delicious wood-fired pizzas from The Pizza Oven. Paired with our artisan wines, it was a combination that went down a treat.

It was wonderful to see so many people relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of our family-run vineyard, soaking up the music, great food and, of course, fantastic wine.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

From 12 noon – 3pm, enjoy live music from the Mike Wilson Jazz Trio, performing a wonderful mix of swing, blues, Latin and soul – the perfect soundtrack to a relaxing afternoon with a glass of Tanhurst Estate wine in hand.

🍕 Savour delicious hand-stretched, wood-fired sourdough pizzas, freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients by Pizza Oven.

These pictures show the vines before and after bud rubbing (removing shoots from the lower trunk), as well as shoot selection on the two spurs and the top fruiting cane.

This process helps the vine concentrate its energy on a carefully selected number of shoots, ensuring the grapes achieve maximum ripeness and quality.

The weather yesterday certainly tested our stamina, but not our enthusiasm for Spring! This torrential downpour was just one of a number that stopped us from tending the vines for a short while. And despite the weather, all the vines are in great health.

We had perfect weather for our event! Our tour was fully booked with 15 attendees. Led by Colin, our vineyard owner, we started with an overview of our vines, their growth cycle, and the winemaking process. Afterwards, we offered a complete tasting of all our wines paired with delicious bites.
