Closing tonight: twiice - taking their edible coffee cups global

twiice are raising to divert single-use cups from landfills all over the world, one yummy edible cup at a time.

They have three signed letters of intent from partners in Indonesia and Argentina and are equity crowdfunding to progress these agreements.

Over the past eight years team twiice have designed and developed the technology to make the perfect biscuit cup.

They've tested and proven the market, gained patents and trademarks for their machinery and processes, and strategically designed their next phase for international growth.

They’ve had many partnerships with big brands through to local cafes, and sent over 350,000 cups to 26 countries, all from their Auckland HQ.

Now they’re raising investment with the goal to take their edible cups global. They want to position themselves as the leader of edible cups.

A few questions about twiice’s future as a licensing company as asked by some of our supporters.

Do you have any interest from international companies wanting to license your technology and brand?
Yes! Our ‘hot’ lead is in South East Asia. We’ve been in discussions with a partner there for around a year now. They’ve signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to manufacture our cups in Indonesia, and we’re meeting with them again shortly to discuss whether we pursue a licensing or joint venture partnership with them. Our next lead is for the Middle East, where we’ve had interest from several parties and are working with an NZTE rep on-the-ground to identify the best partner. We also have a customer there waiting to purchase at scale for his resort chain.

Where do your inquires come from?
I get so many international enquiries - nearly every day - from Bermuda to Oman, Portugal to Kenya. This interest ranges from wanting to manufacture twiice in their market or purchase twiice cups at large volumes.
