We love supporting local community groups, and this one has been a special one for us 🎭

I’m having an absolute ball playing Meg — a fiery Scottish barmaid who is a little more feisty than I am behind the bar at The Brae! 😂 while Paul plays a cameo role of an 1800s constable!

It’s been awesome seeing RUSH! come together and watching our brand new theatre come to life at the same time.

If you’re local, get behind our local theatre crew and come along. It’s a great bunch of people putting a huge amount of work into bringing this piece of our local history to the stage.

Kind-hearted but no pushover, Meg keeps the miners in line behind the bar while looking out for those who need a helping hand. She’s seen plenty, knows the characters around her well, and isn’t afraid to give them a piece of her mind when it’s needed.

Playing Meg is Brigitte Tait bringing warmth, strength and plenty of Scottish spirit to the role in Rush!

She might pour the drinks, but don’t mistake kindness for weakness. Meg can more than hold her own in the goldfields.
