How long have you had your horse?

What is your favorite thing to do with your horse?
Elaina loves to groom her horse and give her lots of treats, especially apples and peppermints. 🍎💕

What do you love about boarding at Stagecoach?
Stagecoach is teaching us about taking care of our own horse and helping us gain confidence as Molly’s owner. They take great care of Molly and our family!

Fun Fact & Favorite Memory:
Elaina knew Molly as one of our friends’ ponies. The day she learned that Molly would get to be her pony will be one of her favorite lifetime memories! ❤️

🎃🐴Ponies, Pumpkins, and Plenty of Smiles! 🍂

We had such a fun time at our Ponies & Pumpkins event last Sunday! From grooming ponies and striking a pose at the photo booth to decorating pumpkins and tackling our horse-themed obstacle course, there was plenty of fall fun to go around!

We loved seeing all the smiles, creativity, and special moments shared with our ponies. 🧡 Thanks to everyone who joined us for a little autumn magic at Stagecoach Stables! 🍁🐴🎃

Horse: Coquelin “Coke” 🐴

How long have you had your horse?
4 years!

What is your favorite thing to do with your horse?
One of my favorite things to do with Coke is explore! We love to go on hand walks and trail rides exploring all different kinds of trails and paths! We even went swimming once—this has to have been one of my favorite memories.

What do you love about boarding at Stagecoach?
I love boarding at Stagecoach because I adore how well they treat every single horse here! And I appreciate how they adjust to fit everyone’s needs. This is so important!

Coke loves his life here, spending quality time with his herd out around the round bale :) What a dream!

Fun Fact & Favorite Story:
Before his time with me, Coke was a 1.40 jumper in the Czech Republic! Once we bought him, he became a well-loved, talented, handsome hunter. We competed around the states for a few years together, achieving each and every one of our goals together. ❤️

🐴 The Masterson Method® is Coming to Ames, Iowa!

We’re excited to welcome The Masterson Method® to Stagecoach Stables for a two-day Beyond Horse Massage Weekend Course, October 10–11!

This hands-on course introduces participants to the foundational techniques of The Masterson Method—an interactive method of equine bodywork that teaches you to recognize and respond to the horse’s subtle cues to help release tension and improve comfort, movement, and connection.

Throughout the weekend, participants will learn and practice directly with horses while receiving hands-on instruction and guidance from Masterson Method instructor Martha Becker.

Whether you’re a horse owner, trainer, bodyworker, equine professional, or simply someone who wants to better understand and support the horses in your life, this is a wonderful opportunity to add practical tools to your toolbox and experience The Masterson Method firsthand.

✨ Kids’ Events are back at Stagecoach! ✨🐴
If your kiddo can’t get enough of horses, our Kids’ Events are the perfect way to spend a few extra hours at the barn!

Each event brings a different theme and a new adventure, with plenty of horse time, riding, grooming, games, activities, and lots of barn fun along the way. 💛

And good news—we still have a few spots available THIS Saturday, September 12th from 6:00–9:00pm!

No horse experience is needed, and experienced riders are absolutely welcome, too. These events are all about giving horse-loving kids a chance to learn, play, ride, and make some pretty great barn memories.

What is your favorite thing to do with your horse?
He is fully retired, so now our favorite activities are things like long grazing sessions. But in his prime, we loved the showmanship!

What do you love about boarding at Stagecoach?
How horse-first everyone is!!

Fun Facts & Favorite Story:
Dunkin was delivered to my house right before Christmas. My doorbell rang, and I opened it to Dunkin tied to a tree! 😂🎄

Dunkin has also made his closest friend here, Freya. They are quite literally inseparable! ❤️
