So wonderful to see Chef Judyta Slupnicki from SheChef and a Chef Outta Water Associate and Slow Food South Australia Snail of Approval recipient being part of the 2026 Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb 23-27 September https://cvfol.au/

This continues our tradition of supporting local led food events that showcase the stories across the globe of the communities, produce and culture. This will be Judyta's 3rd time being involved with the festival. This year she will be supporting a workshop with students from the local high school and then teaming up with Chef Doogal Hannagan for the sold out Flinders Food Co Clare Festival Dinner.

Founders of Chef Outta Water Chef Chris Holen and Simon Millcock were the inspiration behind the Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb which is now in its 7th year. Simon continues as its volunteer coordinator but we will miss Chris this year!!

The Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb is a must do for locals & tourists alike. Food, w**e, music, art. A celebration of Australia & the Clare Valley. 18-22 Sep

Exploring the environment and new culinary and cultural experiences is a key part of being part of Chef Outta Water. Thanks Chef Chris Holen for capturing our recent visit to Areng Camping Eco Resort. I’m looking forward to being part of their next phase with a visit in December this year to explore the broader economic and tourism opportunities. Was great to attend the training for their staff at SPOONS Cambodia Organization as they look to increase their skill levels. Chef Mengly Mork and Judyta Slupnicki your positive influences along with Chris’s have encouraged the hospitality career opportunities at Areng. The support by the Australian Volunteers Program allows me to continue to explore ways to learn and share knowledge across cultures. Chef Outta Water Chef Chris Holen was an inspiration behind this festival and we have been blessed by so many Culinary Masters from across the world visiting us and experiencing the beauty of Spring in the Clare Valley. This year will see Chef Outta Water Associate Chef Judyta Slupnicki involved with Cooking Demonstrations through Slow Food South Australia and with Chef Doogal Hannagan from Flinders Food Co Clare at the Festival Dinner. Volunteering has always been close to Australian volunteer Simon Millcock's heart. When he came to Cambodia a few years ago, he connected with SPOONS Cambodia Organization, a not-for-profit organisation that trains young Cambodians from vulnerable background to build a career in culinary and hospitality.

With 25 years’ experience in the field of regional development, Simon uses his skills to support the organisation in business developing and connecting young chefs from SPOON to international exchange opportunities, as well as bringing in Chef Outta Water and Australian chefs like Michael Brine and Judyta Slupnicki to train the students.

Through the Australian Volunteers Program, Simon has played an important role in supporting the students in launching their career in the hospitality industry.
