We've still got 'em... but not for long! šŸ“

Strawberry season comes and goes fast, so if you've been thinking about grabbing some, now's the time. Come get them while the getting is good!

Just a reminder: We do not grow these strawberries ourselves. These beautiful berries come to us from Dzen's Farm in Ellington, and we're happy to have them in the Farm Store while the season lasts.

See you soon! šŸ“

Perhaps I'm jumping the gun telling y'all, but considering today is Ben's birthday, I figured, heck, let's share some good news that honors the man, the myth, the legend himself.

This fall, at the onset of our PYO Hilltop season, which generally begins in early September, we will be officially changing the name of our "Hilltop" to "The Ben March Hilltop."

Pretty cool, huh?

We think so.

We can't wait to get the new sign. We can't wait to put it up, and we can't wait for everyone to see it as they drive in and remember the man whose idea transformed it into a reality.

Happy Birthday, Benny!

We love you. We miss you. We will remember you and hold you in our hearts, always šŸ’š

I think we all have a web. Our own personal webs.

And each strand in our web represents somebody we’ve connected with by means of conversation, collaboration, community, coincidence, and the list goes on.

Therefore, the stronger the web, the stronger the support.

I tell this to my kids: Make sure you have a strong web. Make connections! Make friends! Talk to people! Help people! Collaborate with people!

The strength of a strong web is unparalleled.

So here we are at March Farm and, once again, we've been given some unfortunate news—we had to close our bakery. And hence, here we are, all being reminded just how strong our web truly is. We are soooo supported!!!

March Farm has one radiant web, that’s for sure.

So many have reached out looking to help, offering suggestions, and expressing concern. We appreciate it. Even if I didn’t get back to every message or comment, just know they are all appreciated.

A GoFundMe was suggested, but nah. GoFundMe’s are great for emergency situations, but this, while somewhat of an emergency, is something that simply has to be done. It’s a business upgrade, so to say.

And whether you believe the regulations are reputable or ridiculous, it doesn’t matter. It still needs to get done.

However, if you want to support us, if you want to do something for us, here’s an idea…

Come to this Friday’s concert! 6-8pm ā˜€ļøšŸŽø

Join us up on the Hilltop where we can sit, sing, smile in the sunshine, eat yummy food, drink refreshing beverages, and be reminded just how glorious life is. Just how radiant our community—and each and every shiny strand that creates our web—truly is.

Tickets can be purchased by clicking the link in our profile above, or on Facebook using this link:

Maybe the real magic was never in the words woven into the web, but in the web itself ā¤ļø

Got Dill? We do! LOTS! 🌿

Oh the possibilities...

• Homemade pickles šŸ„’
• Dill dip
• Potato salad
• Cucumber salad
• Tuna salad
• Egg salad
• Tzatziki sauce
• Ranch dressing
• Salmon dishes
• Roasted potatoes
• Pasta salad
• Dill butter for vegetables or bread
• Soups and chowders
• Fresh herb vinaigrettes

One bunch goes a long way, and there’s nothing quite like the flavor of fresh dill straight from the garden.

Stop by and grab some before it disappears into a whole lot of pickles! šŸŒæšŸ„’šŸ’š

Anyone have a Dad who loves strawberry rhubarb pie?!

We’ve got the strawberries, we’ve got the rhubarb, and you’ve got the love. ā¤ļøšŸ„§

Sounds like the perfect Father’s Day combination if you ask us.

Another thing to be grateful for...

Friends Friday is almost here, and we’re hoping to fill that Hilltop once again! šŸŽ¶šŸŒ…

Unfortunately, the Snack Shack won’t be open this Friday, but don’t worry—we’ll still have plenty of great food and drink options to keep you fueled for an evening of music and fun.

Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready for another beautiful night on the Hilltop.

We can’t wait to see you! 🩵

It’s not really our fault—that us here humans tend to focus on what’s going wrong. We’re kind of programmed that way. It’s how we’re designed to avoid danger, and to keep ourselves protected.

However, in the midst of things going wrong, or things being hard, it’s worth taking a moment—a few minutes even—to recognize all that’s going right.

Our gardens are looking beautiful. The sun is shining bright, and the weather has been wonderful. This past weekend we participated in a new farmers market in West Hartford, and it was great! We also had our first Hilltop dining experience with Ember, and that too was wonderful.

I just checked the back garden this morning and noticed the cilantro, as well as all our other garden herbs, are popping. Looks like we’ll be doing a sale on them! After transplanting, they looked a little shocked, but these herbs, just like us humans, adjust to change, and sometimes they become stronger because of it.

I could go on and on. Maybe I will.

We’ve had so much support from customers offering help with the bakery, making suggestions, and cheering us on. Construction started yesterday, and I can’t even believe how much got done in a single day. How blessed we are to have such talented hands right here on our farm. Talented, dedicated, devoted hands.

Walking through the apple orchard now, I’m noticing the apples are almost the size of ping-pong balls, and the peaches are getting there too. The blueberries are already starting to turn purple and will be turning blue very soon.

So despite parts of farming being hard, challenging, and testing your resilience, there’s so much more than just the hard.

There’s so much to be grateful for.
There’s so much to recognize.
There’s so much to celebrate.

There’s just so much.
