Airbnb Announces 'Farm to Stay' Grant Program to Promote Farmer-Led Tourism
In partnership with American Farmland Trust, the company will give farmers up to $10,000 each to help them earn from increased tourism demand, as new Airbnb report finds agritourism is filling a critical income gap for communities. The grant program will help farmers renovate or prepare their properties to host overnight guests, or to launch agritourism experiences, from apple picking and w**e tasting to farm-to-table dinners and hands-on agricultural workshops. Alongside the grants, Airbnb and American Farmland Trust will host a set of webinars to help farmers get started on the platform—from setting up a listing or experience to welcoming their first guests and building toward long-term success. Click here to register for the informational webinars on Oct 14th or Nov 13th. Click here to read the full press release and find out more about the program in general.
Please consider reaching out to your local Cornell Cooperative Extension for technical assistance in the application process.
