🏡 Tiny Home Has Arrived! 🏡

It’s officially here! Our tiny home was delivered to the homestead, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🥰🚚

Watching it make its way onto the property was such a cool moment. What started as an idea is finally becoming a reality, and we can’t wait to see this little space come together.

There’s still plenty of work to do—getting it set up, adding our personal touches, and turning it into the cozy little retreat we’ve been dreaming about—but today was a BIG step forward! ❤️

Our little piece of the homestead is growing, one project at a time. 🌲🏡✨

Big things are happening at the PNW Haglan Homestead! 🌲🏡

Grizz and Roy are officially settling into their brand-new kennel and are loving having a place of their own to relax after a day of exploring the property. 🐾

We also hit a huge milestone—we’ve officially selected our home! This week, contractors were out preparing the homesite, and it’s incredible to see our vision starting to become reality. Watching the land transform one step at a time makes all the planning and hard work worth it.

Every project brings us one step closer to turning these 20 acres into the homestead we’ve always dreamed of. We can’t wait to share more of the journey with all of you. Stay tuned… the adventure is just getting started! 🌿🚜🏠

First Major Project Complete! 🐾

One of the first big goals we had for the homestead was creating a space for our boys, Grizz and Roy. We’re excited to share that the first major structure on the property is officially complete—a custom-built dog kennel designed just for them!

As we continue building and shaping this property into our family’s dream homestead, it felt fitting that our loyal companions got their place first. Grizz and Roy have been right alongside us through every step of this journey, so giving them a safe, comfortable home was a priority.

This is just the beginning, but it’s a special milestone for us. Here’s to many more projects, memories, and adventures at the homestead. 🏡🐾❤️

There’s something special about slowing down and really exploring your own land 🌿

We wandered every corner, taking it all in—and even made a new friend along the way 🐴 Benelli, the neighbor’s horse, came right up to say hello and completely stole the show.

And in true homestead fashion, we tackled a little project too—built Josh an outdoor shower because let’s be honest… the trailer shower just wasn’t cutting it 😅🚿 Nothing like showering under the open sky!

In early summer of 2025, we stood on a quiet stretch of our land and made a decision that would change everything—we chose the place where our future home would be.

There was already a driveway leading us in, but beyond that, it was open land, big dreams, and a vision we could already see in our hearts.

We moved our camper trailer out there, turning it into our temporary home. It wasn’t always easy—tight spaces, long days, and learning to live a little slower—but it brought us closer to the life we’ve been chasing. Every sunrise felt like progress, and every night reminded us why we started.

Not long after, we purchased a tractor—our first real tool of transformation. What was once untouched land slowly started to take shape. Trees cleared, paths formed, and little by little, our vision started becoming reality.

This is just the beginning of our journey, and we’re so grateful to share it with you.

After searching throughout the Cheney area in January 2025, braving the cold and exploring property after property, we finally found the place that felt like home. It wasn’t just the land—it was the feeling, the quiet, and the vision of what it could become. That moment marked the beginning of our homestead journey, a place where hard work, family, and purpose all come together.
