I’m bad at remembering to do monthly photo dumps but honestly June was a great month so here we go anyway.

I love me some Costco Rotisserie Chicken and when I found out that an article crowned the Sam’s Club Chicken as slightly superior I had to see for myself how they stack up. But I don’t just eat these chickens, I cook with them. So the first test was making a noodle soup with each one to see which one is better.

“Politicians Work For Us.”

Do they though? I would argue that some do.
But many don’t. Most might not in fact.

My second time ever in New Orleans was incredible. Thank you Meta and Tales of the Cocktail for delicious few days. There’s so much more to see, hear, and eat, I cannot wait to find myself back here.

Cyclospora aka the P**p Parasite is really putting a damper on my salsa game. So here is an easy way to blanch your cilantro (and any other herbs you might want to use… like basil for pesto for example) so that you can use them safely in the same way that you would be using them fresh.

Cook safe and stay solid

*Unsponsored Review*

I have a lot of sympathy for companies that try to sell finished sauces. Whether it be companies like, omsom or , or , they have to fight an uphill battle convincing home cooks that buying a sauce is a worthy expense on top of other ingredients.

And as a cook, I absolutely agree with them. Because I know how long it takes to cook the things they’re selling from scratch and I know how expensive those ingredients can be. But every time I talk about these products and videos or in my reviews, my comments are always flooded with “why don’t I just go out and eat?”

My answer tends to be it is still cheaper and almost assuredly likely taste better this way.

I bought and reviewed the Full Feast Bundle from Gymkhana Fine Foods and reviewed it on my YouTube Channel and I do think some of these sauces are truly excellent and worth trying. The Mole Negro Kit from Guelaguetza is one of my favorites. I do think these sauces and kits are worth a try especially because they condense a days worth of cooking into practically no time at all.

Are you registered to vote? Checking to make sure you are and that your information is up to date and accurate is really easy and the most accurate way to do so is your states own secretary of state’s website. It’s so important to make sure that we’re able to exercise our right to vote especially during this time when people are actively trying to limit our rights all over the country.
