Using leftover salami to flavor soup
After a pretty wild Saturday night, I needed something easy, wholesome, and comforting to help me recover over the course of Sunday. I had some leftover Napa cabbage and salami in my fridge and I supplemented it with things that I had used for other recipes. I didn’t really have the capacity to think too much into it but luckily the soup came out delicious and nourishing.

I haven’t been sleeping well lately and I had a feeling that my diet was contributing to that. I noticed a long time ago that a simple meal of eggs on rice with a little bit of light soup often times led to a good night sleep between me and little Jon. It almost got to the point where we were having eggs on rice for dinner every night and we’re sleeping quite well as a result, but after the holiday season, we fell out of that routine and I forgotten until recently when my sleep started suffering I decided to look into it and see if there were any other ingredients that I could tap into. That would help me sleep better. Turns out there’s a whole world of foods and ingredients that really helped your body sleep better at night. Not just eggs and rice, but also eggs and rice.

I’m not a doctor, or a medical professional, or a dietitian. So take everything I say here with a grain of salt and tons and tons of healthy skepticism.

Also, very absent from this bowl is magnesium which I taken in supplement form.

A full Scottish breakfast has haggis, blood pudding and tattie scones which are f***ing magical.

Restaurant: a whimsical Chinese takeaway in Kirkcaldy. I had a munchie box which is from what I understand salt and pepper seasoned chips, spring rolls, battered and fried chicken, chicken wings, ribs, and meat skewers served with a thick curry sauce and also a jet black gravy sauce. It is always (?) served in a generic pizza box. It is worth taking up drinking to appreciate the full majesty of what this all is.

Earnest is an owl with a suspected learning disability. I would take a bullet for Earnest.
