Now it’s time to share our dreams! Brad just recently retired after a 29 year career in the US Army. He is excited to return home to his family and Dickson County. The whole family is supporting this venture and we could not do it without them. The Nelsons have spent years now researching and visiting Christmas Tree Farms all over the country-from Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, and all over Ten

nessee. We have decided that this is the next step for us after a fantastic 20 years in the military. So, it's time to start planting! Enough with the research and farm visits...it's time to get dirty! So we planted a test crop of about 50 trees in 2013. We joined the Tennessee Christmas Tree Growers Association and have been on all the farm tours so far. We had success with them and will plant about 600 in 2014. They should be ready for harvest in 6 or 7 years, just in time for our retirement!
