Fake profiles are on here every single day scamming people, causing arguments as fake bots etc. yet I have a lot of traffic on my profile so now I have to identify myself to continue to post in groups??? No way on earth I am uploading ANY of these forms of ID. What the heck???

‼️‼️Attention..scam alert. ‼️ ‼️
Local friends, I had a call this morning from a blocked number claiming they were with SVEC Power. They said the store was pending disconnect for non-payment.

I told them I had just paid on May 13th. They then said because the bill was over $1,500 (which is normal for our business), SVEC had changed banks and could no longer accept online payments. They claimed the previous payment would be deposited back into my account, but I needed to make another payment today to keep the store’s power on.

Something felt off, so I told her I would call back myself. I contacted SVEC directly, and sure enough — it was a scam. They have NOT changed banks, and my account was NOT pending disconnect.

Please be careful. It sounded very legitimate, and I don’t want anyone else to get scammed. SVEC Dunlap TN
