Ben Nottermann of Snug Valley Farm in East Hardwick, VT, raises and sells grass-fed beef, meat from Duroc pigs and lamb, supplying local restaurants, butcher shops, food co-ops and other farmers that need more meat to carry under their own farm’s label. They sell online as well.

Hello Friends & Family – We are now really into Lambing Season here on the farm. Fritz has picked a Harry Potter naming theme for this year’s additions. We are currently reading book 5 Order of the Phoenix at bedtime. Fritz has become an incredible Shepard. He helps with evening chores every night – feeding hay, feeding our bottle lamb Voldemort, filling water buckets and cleaning up the feed alley.

It's lambing season at Snug Valley Farm so our first bottle lamb of the season made his way to school for a little visit this morning to teach the kids about farming, wool, and all of the cool things we can make with wool!

This right here is the true meaning of shop local and it helps your local community! We shop for our food at Buffalo Mountain Food Coop, Lussier Barn Builders built the majority of our barns, and we supply the coop with our products that our builders go and purchase. We are supporting each other in the local community and that goes a long way. Plus, we love a lot of these other barn customer products and have them in our fridge as well!

Ben’s Pumpkins is now open for the season! You’ll see our signs on Rt 16 and Center Road in the coming days. We have many more pumpkins to move in from the field this week and the display will only get larger. Self checkout is inside the farm shop this year. See you soon!
