What would you name your kid if you had to name them after an apple term? We went around the farm asking everyone what their picks would be - some of the popular ones were honey crisp and crimson crisp! We think they were just naming their favorite apples! 🍎 😉

Our first weekend of U-Pick apples for the season is a wrap! We are so happy to see all the smiling faces (including happy dogs) back on our family farm!

Are the apples at BJ Reece Orchards in Ellijay, Georgia organic? In this video, we answer one of the most common questions we hear about our apples and explain how we manage pests in our orchard.

🍎 Our apples are not organically grown. We use an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system to help protect our apple trees while producing high-quality apples. This approach includes trapping and monitoring for insects so we can identify pest problems and only use sprays when they are absolutely necessary.

We also use a technique called mating disruption, which helps reduce certain insect pests by disrupting their ability to reproduce.
