Conant Apple Orchards was founded in 1945 by Alphonso and Theresa Conant. 75 years and four generations later, their great grandson Clinton, Danielle and Hannah still hold true to their roots with over 1,000 apple trees and over 20 different varieties of apples.

We had an AMAZING Touch-A-Tractor weekend, and now we’re rolling right into another fall favorite! ❤️🚜

Our farm stand will be STOCKED with lots of fresh, juicy apples perfect for eating, baking, and all your favorite fall recipes! Bag your own and take home a whole bag of local goodness!

Our crop truly is amazing this year with how many we have! All shapes and sizes, some are crisp, some are soft, some are great for baking, some are great for eating!

It’s time for our 3rd Annual Touch a Tractor Weekend at Conant Orchards! 🌲🍎

From local homeowners to local dealerships, we’re bringing together tractors of all shapes, sizes, and ages! From antique farm tractors to newer machines, there’s something for everyone to admire. The best part? The kids can climb up, sit in the seats, explore, and experience these incredible machines up close! 🚜❤️

Tractors are such an important part of Maine life, from helping our farmers work the land and harvest crops to keeping our small farms and rural communities thriving. This weekend is all about celebrating our farming roots, supporting our local community, and sharing a little piece of Maine farm life with the next generation. 🌾🇺🇸

— We have ladders available for apple picking! This time of year our orchard still has LOTS of good apples! Some trees are completely picked, some trees are completely loaded! Some trees have some smaller apples, some trees have some really good sizes apples! We encourage everyone to walk or drive around our orchard to find the best tree!
We have macintosh, Cortland, & empire available for picking. In our farm stand, we have LOTS more of varieties!

Our leaves are starting to change over at the farm and C***r & Mabel are fitting right in with the beautiful fall shades we see in Maine!

Our farm is beautiful right now- scenic views, fall air, nostalgic beverages, antique equipment everywhere, & rustic vibes!

🌾 The LAST weekend of September on the farm 🌾

Today is going to BEAUTIFUL & we have lots going on!

🍁Wagon Rides: This year our wagon rides are exceptional with a different scenic route with COW interactions. Yes, you heard that right. Even with baby cows! You don’t want to miss it!
🍁Our caramel apple cup was such a hit last year we are bringing it back! Warm caramel drizzle, apple slices fresh from the farm, & m&m’s!
🍁Our toasted marshmallow iced coffee is a new fan favorite flavor so we decided to top it with mini cinnamon marshmallows and it’s delightful!
🍁Live Music (middle of the day)
🍁PICK YOUR OWN- new section just opened up! Our apples are great this year.

This season has been absolutely incredible so far, and we are so thankful for every single person who has stopped by, supported our family farm, grabbed a coffee, picked up some apples, enjoyed a treat, purchased local apparel, or simply shared a kind word with us!

With growth and busy days also come a few comments and questions that we wanted to address with a little more perspective. 🫶🏻

🍎 “The apples are so small!”

We wish we could control this one! 😂 Unfortunately, Mother Nature is the one in charge of our apples. Weather, rainfall, temperatures, pollination, and growing conditions all play a huge role in the size of the fruit each season.

That being said, we want to assure you that our apples are absolutely good-sized, healthy Maine-grown apples. 🍎 We do not spray for size or color- our apples are truly home grown.

Some varieties naturally grow smaller than others, and this year’s growing conditions have played a role as well. We have trees with massive huge apples, and some trees with smaller apples - right side by side! Our orchard is huge, we allow you to drive or walk all around our orchard to pick out the best apples!

⏰ “The line is so long!”

We completely understand that waiting can be frustrating. But we also hope you’ll understand that we are a seasonal, family-run farm business that has experienced an incredible amount of growth.

There are only so many people, machines, parking spaces, registers, and hours in a day. We are working as quickly and efficiently as we possibly can while still trying to give everyone a good experience.

Sometimes the line is simply a reflection of how many people want to support and enjoy our antique farm. ❤️

(WEEK DAYS there are never lines!)

💰 “Your prices are expensive.”

We completely understand that everyone has a budget, and we respect that. That’s why our petting zoo is free, our admission fee is free, our school field trips are free, and live music is free.

We also want to be transparent that the cost of operating a farm and seasonal business is extremely high. Between growing and maintaining the orchard, equipment, fuel, insurance, utilities, ingredients, supplies, payroll, packaging, maintenance, repairs, taxes, and all of the other expenses that happen behind the scenes, there is a LOT that goes into what you see when you visit us.

We are a local, family-run Maine business, and we work incredibly hard to keep things as reasonably priced as we can while still being able to continue doing what we love.

At the end of the day, we can’t control Mother Nature, we can’t always eliminate a busy-day wait, and we can’t make the cost of running a farm disappear.

But we CAN promise that we are working hard, we care deeply about what we do, and we are incredibly grateful that so many of you care enough to show up and support us. ❤️

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your kindness, and most importantly, your support of a local Maine family farm.

We truly wouldn’t be here without you. 🍎🌲🤎

‼️ We never cancel anything on our farm due to the weather. Since we are a seasonal business, we don’t have the opportunity to reschedule everything due to rain or weather. We always have the same things available no matter what the weather forecast looks like!

‼️Pick your own right now is amazing— it will go into October as well! Our picking conditions depend on how many people have been up there picking and the weather/wind!
