It’s grape season! We have big, sweet-as-sugar muscadines in the store right now.

Never tried one? Muscadines have a thicker skin and a few large seeds. Just bite or squeeze the grape to pop the sweet pulp inside into your mouth, then discard the skin and spit out the seeds.

Come grab a 1 lb basket of Southern goodness while they last!

We have a new goat milk soap vendor! Francee Farm is a family farm in Rocky Mount, NC. Their products are made in small batches with clean ingredients and milk from their own Grade A dairy goat herd.

We’ll be carrying their goat milk bar soaps, lotions, and body washes, along with an all-natural Bug Off Outdoor Balm Stick made with essential oils—perfect for these lingering warm evenings!

Come on out and give them a try. You’ll be greeted by the wonderful fragrances as soon as you step into the store!

September is here! It may still feel like midsummer, but fall is just around the corner. Get ready with some beautiful mums! They’re covered in buds and almost ready to bloom, so with proper care, you’ll be able to enjoy them for weeks to come.

Place them where they’ll receive at least six hours of direct sunlight each day, keep the soil consistently moist, and pinch off fading flowers to encourage more buds to open.

We have red, yellow, lavender, and bronze/orange available. Come pick out your favorites!

Complaint against: Twix
Nature of complaint: Repeated violations of personal space, unsolicited physical contact, and using coworkers as furniture.

Twix has been advised that “but I love him” is not a valid defense.

Magnus is requesting immediate intervention and possibly workers’ comp.

Our good friends at The Blue's Farm introduced us to Mrs. Pumpkin's Chicken Pies, and after trying them, we knew we couldn’t keep this goodness to ourselves!

Made in Winston-Salem, Mrs. Pumpkin’s is a proud Got to Be NC company, making scratch-made, homestyle favorites right here in North Carolina. Their classic Moravian Chicken Pie is packed with all-white-meat chicken in a rich, savory sauce, tucked inside a buttery, hand-crimped crust.

These were just too good not to share, so of course we had to bring them to Towering Oaks Farm for our customers!

We are stocked up with all kinds of fresh goodness right now! We have:

💛 Local yellow squash
🎃 Butternut squash
🥔 Baking potatoes
🍠 NC sweet potatoes from Duplin & Sampson Counties
🍅 Local tomatoes
🍉 NC seedless watermelon

AND James stopped by with some GIANT peaches! 😉🍑 Some of these beauties are seriously softball-sized!

One of the best parts about buying fresh, local produce? This isn’t sitting around under the same protective coatings you’ll often find on grocery-store produce. Fresh means fresh — so come get it while it’s here!

We appreciate his dedication to quality control.
