Get them tired!!! Not on electronics π₯°π
Why ALL kids should have the opportunity to be with horses, regardless of income or status.....
There are so many kids out there that have so much energy to burn, but no real outlet to use it!
We can speculate at 'Ipad' kids......with their faces constantly stuck to screens.....it is not good for their mental or physical well being at all
People point the finger at the parents....
but here's the thing.........when WE were younger.....we were turfed out, and learned valuable life lessons on the streets, across the fields, up trees, in rivers, we had a life of brilliant freedom. Probably the last generation to have been able to live that life
Kids today do not have that freedom......it would be classified almost as neglect by the authorities. They have very little ways to use up their energy, unless they are in a lot of clubs etc
Many families could not afford to get their children into horses.....but there are establishments out there that offer affordable options, so that no one is left out!
Being around horses means your kid will learn discipline, how to put the animals needs before their own. They will learn to overcome obstacles, challenges, fears. They will be faced with fear. They will fall! They may get injured.......but they will have developed courage and self discipline that they can apply to real life situations!
Most of all...........they will come home tired, content, and proud of themselves for what they have acheived....should that be the very first obstacle of learning the rising trot!!
Kids aren't meant to be sitting about idle
How many kids are medicated for ADHD, that may well not need to be medicated if they had an outlet that they could use that energy to their advantage, instead of it being wrongly seen as a disadvantage?
Getting into horses isn't just for people with lots of money.............its more about directing what money you can afford, toward something that will give you so much in return!
