Ridgeview Acres At Ridgeview Acres we raise purebred and commercial sheep, club lambs, as well as commercial beef cattle, and chickens.

We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley between the towns of New Hope and Grottoes in Augusta County, Virginia. Ridgeview Acres is a family owned Agricultural business that is owned and opperated by David Shiflett. His sons, Adam and Jason, created A&J Shiflett to raise and show purebred sheep. David, Jason, and Jason's sons Aiden and Rylee continue to show sheep at local and state fairs

. Ridgeview Acres also has commercial sheep and club lambs that are sold to local youth for use as 4-H and FFA project lambs.

The last few days have been busy with the sale today, and getting the sheep ready for the Maryland State Fair. I haven't been able to get many pictures of getting the sheep ready, but Allison got this one of Jason and David washing some of the ewes on Friday.

Spent the day at the Season's Bounty Suffolk Sale. They had some really nice sheep there. We picked up a really nice January ram lamb out of their Sledgehammer ram. He should help to add some thickness to our Suffolk flock. I'll add some pictures as soon as we get some.

We're thinking of possible names for him, only suggestion so far is Jackhammer. What do y'all think?

Yesterday was busy. With lambing season coming fast, we got busy setting up the lambing jugs. Then, with the possibility of rain later this week, we needed to get some hay that we had down baled and moved so that it can be wrapped today. All said, the day didn't end until well after dark.
