Our portable electric fence has been getting all of the use this year…

The drought this year has been detrimental to farmers. Our ponds and creeks are dried up, many of us are already feeding hay, and we’re getting creative on ways to keep our animals happy and fed.

Today we’re celebrating 8 years of marriage and almost 6 years of our “real” farm life here in Harriston.

What started as a dream (that we never thought we’d afford) has turned into early mornings, late nights, animals that keep us on our toes, more work than we ever imagined, and a whole lot of memories we wouldn’t trade for anything! 🐓🐖🐐🌱

We’ve learned that farming and marriage have a lot in common… both require patience, hard work, teamwork, a good sense of humor, and occasionally wondering “What in the world were we thinking?” 😂

Here’s to 8 years of marriage, almost 6 years of farm life and hopefully many more years of figuring it out together 🤎
