Make Plans NOW for YOUR Fall Fun! 🎃

Most of our guests recognize that the core of Lowe Family Farmstead is the bounty that comes directly from the Earth. From time to time, well-meaning friends ask us what we do outside of the fall season, as if we might simply show up to open the gates. It doesn't take much conversation for them to quickly recognize that the harvest of October comes only through a full year of preparation.

Farming is all about timing. Plant pumpkins or corn at the wrong time and they will be damaged by frost, mature too soon and rot in the field, or fail to produce in time for harvest. Sometimes, the difference of a couple of days can make or break a crop. More frequently, missing a timing window for a job on the farm is simply a setback that requires much more time, money, and stress to fix than if it had been done properly.

Right now, we are quick-stepping around the farm. Getting irrigation working properly, preparing seedbeds, designing the corn maze, working on new attractions, performing maintenance, and refreshing facilities. Excitement and urgency is in the air as we plan for all the pieces of the puzzle to come together on Opening Day, Fall 2026.

This May, we know our friends and guests are also in the throes of the timelines of life. End-of-school events and celebrations, graduations, and the Summer change of pace have all of our calendars looking a bit like May-cember. In the midst of all that, we invite you to take a minute to set your Fall off right. Plan your field trip, school fundraiser, secure a season pass, or simply mark your calendars. After all, this bit of farmer wisdom is hard-earned and well-proven: a stress-free harvest begins long before the first load!
