The man himself is here! 🤩

The junior herdsire who will be covering our junior does! We are so excited to welcome TUA Farms VDM La Vita Magia to Cedar Brooks Ranch. He is owned by the amazing Blu's Ranch Goats, and we are incredibly grateful to Marci Mc for allowing us to use him on our three juniors!

Magia is out of TUA Farms BB La Dolce Vita VEEE90. Dolce excels in rear udder height, fore udder attachment, dairy strength, body depth, and so much more! She is also an incredibly productive doe, milking 1,370 lbs as a 2F! 🤩

✨Magia’s SD dam is MerryTale SS Magic Mirror VVVE87 (02-01). Magic was an especially special doe who sadly passed away earlier this year. It is absolutely heartbreaking to lose such a remarkable animal, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring a piece of her legacy to Cedar Brooks Ranch through her grandson. Magic was a beautiful doe with a lovely rear udder height and beautiful general appearance.✨

Magia is a lovely young buck with so much to offer. He has a beautiful spring of rib, excellent width between the hocks, great length of body, straight feet and legs, lovely rear leg angulation, a beautiful head, and an absolutely wonderful personality! He has Wattles! 😍

🐐✨ Misty × Atlas ✨🐐

We’ve decided that Olliemae Farm JM Scotch Mist is likely a doe who just isn’t suited for AI, and that’s okay! 💕 We’ve tried working a speculum into her but haven’t had any luck. Rather than continuing to push something that isn’t working, we’ve decided to go with our very special live cover backup pairing!

And honestly… we are just as excited about this pairing as we would be if it were an AI breeding! 🥰

✨ Olliemae Farm JM Scotch Mist × Casa Ram SL Atlas Quinn ✨

We are so excited to pair Misty with Atlas! Atlas is an absolutely beautiful buck who has already produced some gorgeous kids. He is a long bodied buck with excellent width between the hocks, a nice level rump, a smoothly blended neck into the withers, straight front legs, and lovely, tight toes. And to top it all off, he has an absolutely wonderful personality! 💙

Atlas comes from a beautiful pedigree, with his dam being Lil Carolina Kids Sugar Quinn and his sire being Casa Ram SK Sir Lancelot. We are very excited to see how these genetics complement Misty! ✨

Misty is a doe we absolutely love for her lovely general appearance, excellent depth of barrel, dairy strength, beautiful udder side view, length of neck, width of chest floor, straight front legs, level topline, excellent teat placement, strong medial, and so much more! 🤍

We’re hoping this pairing will combine Misty’s beautiful structure and dairy character with Atlas’s length, width, levelness, and overall balance. We can’t wait to see what these two produce! 🥹🐐💕

✨ What a fun weekend! ✨

We had such a wonderful time getting to spend the weekend with friends we don’t get to see often! 🥰 It was even better getting to bring our girls along and watch them do so well in the show ring! 💕🐐

Our girls had lots of impressive placings, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! 🏆✨

🌸 Flower Valley Farm Lucky Penny 5*M 🌸

One of the biggest highlights of the show was our beautiful Penny! She was 1st place in her age group in BOTH rings! 🥇🥇

Penny was complimented on her strong general appearance and was called a standout in the ring! The judges loved her levelness from thurl to thurl, width in the rear udder, teat placement, udder side profile, length of body, length of neck, strength in her feet and legs, tightness in her withers, and so much more! 💗

Penny went on to earn Grand Champion in the Youth Show! 🏆👑

She was also a very close competitor in the Open Show! The judges felt she just needs a little more maturity to truly stand out against the more mature does. We are so excited to watch this girl continue to develop! 🌟

🔥Penny will be bred to Old Mountain Farm Stag Party +*B this fall via AI, and has reservations open for both bucks and doe’s!🔥

🌸 Cedar Brooks Ranch Lady Luck 🌸

Penny’s daughter, Lady Luck, was another huge highlight! This beautiful doeling has been working hard to earn her dry leg, and she came SO close to accomplishing that goal! 🙌🏼

Lady Luck earned Reserve Grand Champion in BOTH the Youth and Open Shows! 🏆🥈

The judges loved her dairy strength, length of body, length of neck, levelness from thurl to thurl, arch into her escutcheon, strength in her feet and legs, rear leg angulation, and so much more! 💕✨

We are absolutely thrilled with how this young girl is developing, and we can’t wait to see what her future holds! 🌟

And of course, we have to brag on my sweet Joy! 🥹💕

Joy was the top-placing doe in BOTH rings in the Yearling First Freshener class! 🥇🥇

The judges called her a standout in the class based on her general appearance, mammary system, teat placement, foreudder, levelness in the rump while on the move, tightness in the withers, strength in her feet and legs, rear leg angulation, and so much more!

Joy was described as a very, very lovely yearling first freshener! 💗 The judges felt that she simply needs another freshening or two to really mature into herself and be able to earn herself a ribbon. 🎀

The judges were absolutely obsessed with Joy, and honestly, we couldn’t agree more! 😍 We are SO excited to see what this girl looks like after her next couple of freshenings. We truly believe she has an incredibly bright future ahead of her! ✨🐐

We are beyond proud of all three of these girls and everything they accomplished this weekend! 💕 Thank you to the judges for recognizing the qualities we love so much about these girls, and thank you to all of our friends who made this weekend so much fun! 🥰

🩵 Better Wayz Is A Lady’s Man*B, happily earned first place with Jr get of sire. Judge complimented the length of body, Dairyness, arch into the escutcheon, width in the rumps, in his daughters and their consistency with them all being from different dams! 🩵

🥹 I participated in the showmanship class, was judges on my setting up skills, judgment on doe’s, score card, and many many more questions. And I came out as the grand champion for the showmanship class! I got to bring home a fancy grand champion belt buckle🔥

Absolutely thrilled with our girls this year!

First off, last week Racing Feathers Just Dance is now adding a 5*M to her name! And also having her on the Elite list coming at a 95%! Gazelle has been an outstanding producer and we cannot wait to see what she does next year for us. We will be doing a repeat pairing with gazelle and stitch. As they produced a lovely daughter who earned her dry leg only a few months old! Gazelle will be going on extended lactation next year and we cannot wait to watch how she can maintain this production as a 2F! Her milk star will be appearing any day now on CDCB!

Next off we have Better Wayz Almond Joy Cupcake! This doe has been a standout ever since she freshened. She came in with an absolutely gorgeous udder. We are so glad to have brought her into our herd. Joy has also earned her place on the elite list at a 97% Joy has been commended for her perfectly 1/3 1/3 1/3 udder! A lovely fore udder on a young doe and very square in the rear. We cannot wait to try AI’ing her to a lovely buck. We cannot wait to see the future on this doe, we believe she will have our prettiest udder in our herd after a few more freshenings.

The newest elite list has just been released and we couldn’t be more excited that BOTH of our first freshener girls made it! They are in the top 5% for their breed! There were several other very close relatives on the list but super excited to have some of our own!
